Turbo build question: Knock sensor placement

I was wondering what is the best place to put an aftermarket knock sensor (J&S safeguard) on the back of the block of my B18a1, or the most common place that people put the knock sensor when building up the engine before boosting.

Some basic additional info on my project: I’m building the car for autox/track and would like to see 250-300hp to the wheels. I’m mostly looking for usable torque/horses & throttle response.

Short list…
ENGINE-
Balanced and rebuilt B18a1, pocket ported head with oversized stainless valves, CP 9:1 pistons, Eagle rods, ARP head and main studs.

SUSPENSION- LS tranny w/ Qualfie LSD & ACT XTSS, Prothane full bushing kit, Full race traction bar, Ground Control coilovers w/ Koni Yellows.

Anywhere where it’s sitting on the actual block, there’s no real advantage past convenience on placing it in any specific area.

no.

near the top of the cylinder, in the middle of the block is ideal… much like all OEM honda knock sensors.

detonation takes place in the upper part of the block, not the bottom.
