Hey guys, i just want to know what camshaft would be better for turbo application?
what do you mean? oem cams? aftermarket cams? what engine? vtec or non-vtec?
?
Do you by chance have a red teg?
If you running a non-vtec head, I would go with crower 403’s or 404’s. The crower “turbo cams”, just don’t do it. As for a vtec head, if you’re mostly driving on the street either gsr or type-r cams are great, if you want to see some track time the skunk2 pro 1’s have been nothing but great in a few turbo builds.
the new crower 402-t stage 2’s are pulling impressive numbers. i would highly recommend them for a non vtec head. 403’s are ok for running an all motor cam in a turbo setup. i wouldn’t ever suggest 404’s though
well it all depends on what you are doing. I know several people making impressive numbers on 404’s. Its not so much that cams are “turbo” or “allmotor”, its using the right duration and lift paired with the right sized turbo.
has anybody heard any feedback or has any experience with GUDE vtec turbo cams for b-series.
GSR cams have still be proven to make the biggest power… I ran them in my B16…
Rumor has that NA cams are the right way to go but I high disagree.
