Turbo LS almost here, what you think?

I expect to have my car running by next Sunday. Heres whats happened so far.

stock b18a1 92ls coupe
full race stage two kit
hondata s200
precision 880 injectors
msd digital 6
custom 3 inch exhaust
no interior
no ac
no power steering
ABS replaced with non ABS

plus a lot of cleaning up the engine bay
I hope to have around 280-300 once the car is tuned next weekend
Then my spare b18a1 goes to golden eagle this summer
what do yall think, my setup? what to expect once its tuned?

A ls block isnt going to hold a stage 2 full-race kit. But it all depends on how much boost you are going to run.

Boost doesn’t blow engines. Just be careful with that kit, it’s a hell of a setup.

Detonation. Boost just gets you there quicker. :slight_smile:

Damn bro, can’t wait to see it done. I can’t wait to get mine done. My florida trip is setting me back! Your’s will be one of 3 boosed DA’s (including mine) that I’ve seen in SC…Good luck…

I agree with grey. Thats why im staying stock besides new headgasket, Aftermarket rings and arp head studs.

Im going to run 10psi untill I get my spare b18a1 sleeved by the end of this summer.

i wouldn’t even run that. 10 PSI seems a little bit too much for stock internals. and your horsepower goal seems a little too out there unless you are talking about later down the road.

10 psi will kill a stock engine? :rofl:

do you realize how much cylinder pressure there already is at combustion, even on a completely stock engine? raising that by 10 psi isn’t going to do much. like earlier said–boost doesn’t kill engines, detonation does. boost just gets you there quicker. :wink:

280-300 is easily achievable w/ proper tuning on an ls. I’m tuning for right around the same numbers. BTW. let’s see more pics!! :slight_smile:

Yeah man I know two guys up here that are boosting… one at 12 psi. and the other at 13 PSI. on stock internals… the one at 12 is pushing 267 at the wheels. that is just stock internals. They have been boosting the same engines for a couple years now

Do you know where Greenville, Anderson, etc.? Upstate SC, I’m quite a few hours from you. Probably like 6 hrs. But we’ll meet up one day when I head down there to go surfing.

a little concern about tuning a boosted engine, what is to ajust and how to diagnose, it would be quite helpful for me thx !
ignition timing and cam timing are 2 different thing…

just finished my setup b17 with t3 on 10psi. Running uberdata with stock internals.I guess xenocron does his homework because my car is running like a champ.Anyhow my point is stock b-series bottom ends have seen up to 14 psi with good tuning.Although stock map sensor only reads 11psi. 10psi is fine as long as youre running rich like me and you dont rag on your car 24/7.Vacuum is your best friend. :rockon:

who helped you with the uberdata tuning ? or maybe you dit it yourself …
