Turbo project almost done. Few small questions

Ok so it is my first time boosting. I have read a lot and still have a few questions.

  1. Is it possible to not cut anything out and use my 90-91 bumper with a front mount.

  2. My Tial wastegate didnt come with a bolt in the top outlet, what should i do about it?

  3. Should i run my wastegate off my tap by the BOV? or just tap somewhere close to my inlet? (Pic below)

  1. On the Greddy type s there is an extra small outlet that comes out towards the bottom. should i leave it open like most people or run it somewhere.

  2. Where should i tap for my boost/vac gauge?

  3. How much boost should i run on a stock b18b, 7 lbs?

Well i think that is all for now. I got pics of most of my parts below. And yes i went with the XS power Manifold. They are a LOT more reinforced now, and dont forget easy on the pocket. I didnt go cheap on anything else, kinda.

I know the paint isnt the best, but i want to keep this as stock looking as possible.

Build in the end will be
90 Integra GS
97 JDM B18b swap
Garret GT30 t3/t4
XS Power equal length manifold
Tial wastegate
Greddy Type-s (Real) Blow off Valve
HKS Front mount 2.5" in and out
2.5" Charge piping
3" open downpipe
OBD0 to OBD1 Conversion
Tuned with Chrome

No one has any pointers? i put my turbo on backwards :frowning:

looks like it’s on properly in the photos.

  1. mabe hard tho be creative
  2. leave it open, onyl use if u get a EBC
  3. run it to the fitting on the chargepipe
  4. open is fine
  5. i taped all my vac to a vac block.makes things neat and only $25
u can tap it anywhere coming out of the manifold
  6. thats a pretty big turbo not 2 sure

I thought the same thing. Thats a pretty big turbo for a stock motor, but then again its all in the tune.

Yeah IDK if a tune will make up for the lag that thing will put out :stare:

  1. you tell me, measure and look for yourself
  2. leave it be
  3. put the wastegate near the hot side
  4. leave it be
  5. intake manifold for the most accurate reading
  6. you’re going to put a gt30 on a motor with stock internals. you can figure out where this is going, no? a wiser decision would be to hang a smaller snail like a t3 or td05h.

thats a remarkably large turbo, and even though most wastegates are set from the factory at seven to ten pounds, you’re going to have trouble dealing with the massive turbine and subsequent lag that thing has. and if you put a boost controller on it, you’re not going to get much adjustability between nil and boom.

get a smaller turbo, this isnt an rx-7.
