I am planning on turboing my car(91 LS b18a1 , 121,XXX) after winter passes and I will have about $3000+. I have searched and looked through just about every turbo related article but just want opinions.
For my planned setup
forged pistons/rods
new oem stuff for engine(belts, pumps, etc…)
head studs/rod bolts(arp)
not sure of turbo size yet
gauges(boost,oil press., etc…)
SAFC or AEM EMS, depending on budget
around 500cc injectors
plus the other turbo necessities
Looking for 230hp daily driver at like 10 psi. opinions? what are some of your setups and prices?

Your on the right track. Go with the AEM ECU For reliability and all around function. When you add more things to your build, just retune. 450 Injectors from Mits. or Eagle talon work great and cheap on budget. T3-T4 Turbo works great. With the setup you are talking about you can run 250 hp easy.
For your power goal, steer clear of AFC, and don’t waste your money on AEM. It’s an awesome EMS, but again, for your power goal, just use Crome. It’s basically free
well i just want to be able to turn boost up and down safely for street/track. I thonk I will be building this after winter passes which gives me more saving time. Hopefully I have at least $4000 just waiting. Well I have heard of crome but never really looked through it. Can someone explain a little bit?
Basically a free version of Hondata. If you pay a bit and get Crome Pro, it’s about on par with S300.
