does any body know what combination would a stock bottom end b- series engine would take with turbo and nitrous
I have a turbo ls/vtec and i have a nos kit wet system laying around but i dont know how many shots (if any) would a stock turbo b18b bottom end will take.
has anybody seen this setup before or is any body here running that setup,
or is not possible im very curious to slap it on but also will tuning be a bitch
LET ME KNOW it will be nice to know
Its all in the tune. I wouldnt do it. Just think not only are you revving a car way higher than it was ever meant to your also adding the stress of a turbo and nitrous. I think your asking for trouble.
:fingban: wrong thread. anybody else has this setup or know anything about this im curious
and thanks for the info twitch27 but how is putting nitrous on an engine reving higher u dont have to rev the engine higher just cause u have nitrous
x2 on the tune.
Controlling nitrous is kind of hard, especially with a boost crossover. I wouldn’t risk it myself without at least a decent set of lower compression forged pistons.
I meant your revving higher because of the ls/vtec not because of the nitrous. I think NOS makes some kit that turns off at a certain psi by the way.
my friend has, but a B18C on 10 lbs and a 80 direct, i had the opportunity to street tune it. i had to tune it first on boost and then for the nitrous. night and day difference between the two. never blew it racing. its all in the tune, any mistakes and its done. email for more questions im barely on the forums now. good luck.

want to make 300+WHP, run 11’s and still be smog legal?
contact me to find out.
nice shameless plug
wat program is that b18c using and wat are the advantages of this?
wat rpm and psi level would be best to inject the nitrous running 10psi?
what does that car do in the 1/4 mile im pretty sure lots of people want to know all this
thanx appreciated
Use your kit for a IC sprayer, safe and more power for freezing the IC
lol, IC sprayer kits are the biggest waste of money that really doesn’t do much at all.
I wouldnt risk all that stress on stock bottom end if it were my decision.
and Ic sprayers are not a waste of money at all.
why do you say that?

One thing I noticed about their test was the fact that on the dyno there is no circulation like there would be when doing a 4th gear pull on the street. Of course there will be a difference when there is no wind rushing over the intercooler. I do think there will be a gain but not as much as that.
the normal air to air ic will cool enough with normal road wind but, think of a primative watersprayer system. with just a bit of water being sprayed on it, the temperature significantly drops. imagine what effect an expanding gas spraying (freezing) to the core would do at those high “wind” speeds.
screw ic sprayers! if you wanna really be safe, try a water/meth injection kit, they work wonders, and it got rid of all my knock I was getting up top, and I was able to run more boost without worry about running into more knock and detention. check out www.coolingmist.com
i was waiting for someone to mention that, yes a great way to keep the knock down and not have to worry about running more hp w/less fuel.
