Here’s the sitch. Got dsm 450cc’s, b18 and a problem… I’ve been trying to figure this out for a while now and I am completely lost. What’s going on is from 1500-2000rpms when i hammer down my car rocks fairly violently. It’s definately worse when i get up to say 2500rpm let off the gas till 1500 rpm (usually in second gear) and then get on it again… The thing is I don’t know if it is a mechanical problem (it didn’t do this before turbo with 450’s on) or a problem with my tunning abilities, or lack there of.
If anyone would test this out it would be greatly appreciated. not exactly sure if i can upload the file here so i guess send me an email. thanks
Well nobody wants to test it? can’t blame you. Anyhow I am leaning toward mechanical anyway. I used xenocrons bin and it did the same thing. Same with the other 4 or 5 bins i’ve tried since then… So I’m thinking it’s ignition… I’ve checked the stock o2 sensor in fact it’s unplugged but the ecu hasn’t thrown a code yet, so i don’t think it’s that… Plug wires are sumitomo and maybe 4 months old last ones lasted 13 years… plugs are ngk bcpr7e-11 brand new (also tried plugs that i pulled in place of them) checked the cap and rotor i bought them last year when my engine was built, no corrosion. ignition maps are stock pr4… I am completely lost on what the problem is or could be any suggestions would be greatly appreciated… :bang:
oh besides the 1500-2000 problem the car runs great.
