Turbo'ing my 4-Door:):):)

hey everyone. im kinda new to this site. i have a 4 door 2nd gen and im going to turbo it. this is gunna be my first turbo application. im planning to make a big time sleeper.lol. im gunna make alot of pl look stupid. the car is bone stock rite now. is there any modifications i should make before i start? any tips or things to watch out for? any links? i ssaw a link one time that had illustrated directions on how to install a turbo on a honda or acura. it was really guuud but i los the link. it was on honda-tech.com or honda-acura.net… does anyone know what im talkin bout. well thanks for all your help and tips in advance.

build the block

i dont know if this is what you were looking at but THIS is your best friend.

how much to u plan on spending to make people look stupid

with the money he would spend building the block he could buy 10 spare motors. stock motors handle good power. boost and tune.

i think im prolly gunna boost and tune the engine. im looking to spend prolly 2 G’s. but i already have the turbo kit and im installing myslef so i have alot of money to work with

what kit is it?

dont overlook the clutch, the stock one aint gonna get you too far.

is the turbo kit for a DA?

stock clutch holds more than most people give credit for.

it is now.

what is a DA. the kit will be custom. i already have the garret turbo charger and the intercooler. i have to pick up everything else. i have a checklist for everything i need.

FYI:
A “DA” is the hatchback integra (90-93), while the four dour version of the integra (90-93) is known as the “DB”.

da is first gens too.

i was trying not to confuse the n00b.:bang:

polska gave you the link to your turbo build bible.

next do a compression test to see where your at.

With 2 g’s, omg… go to homemadeturbo.com and read all of the turbo builds. reading all of other peoples experience will help you save money and time.

I have a 92 GS 4 Door DB1 Teg and I BOOSTED her aswell. I spent a good $3,500 on the entire set up. Labor and all parts. The way to go is bigger injectors (I have 450cc with Resitors), bigger fuel pump ( I have a InTank Walboro 255), New Clutch with lighter fly wheel is what I am doing now.

Then came the Tunning part. I am happy with my CHROME Tunning…The tunner just chipped my Stock ECU and I can get retuned any time I need…

My Motor is a stock LS (Non-VTec) with 153,000 miles on her and still running strong at 7lbs all day…No Smoke at all. Be safe with your build. My List is still going for mods…

^^skeet skeet…

hope your project turns out well

Honda-tech.com forced induction section will be your best freind as well. trust me. Pepole build 400+ hp hondas all the time just from the info on honda-tech.com
