uberdata basemapping

hey guys, im still a little ways away from doing my turbo project but i was wanting to know where to get a version of uberdata for my computer so i can start playing around with it so when i go turbo i have a decent base map to start with

and xenocron if and when you read this, you chipped (or projeckteg not sure) a p28 ecu for my ls/vtec setup with 9:1 comp. ratio etc and i was wondering if there was anyway i could get that basemap so i know what im starting with on uberdata because all the other bins are for stock ecus and i doubt the p28 is stock

thanks guys!

I think for the P28 you would need to use the stock GSR bin and modify that one. you can read up and get the latest version of Uberdata on the website in Uberdata forums under official release.

Clem: go to the uber web site and go to the forums sections it will help u alot
and read the newbie section it shows u how step by step how to make
base map

p28 is the ecu u bought, u have to load the right bin for ur setup

i have a ls/vtec gsr head i chose stock gsr and started to tune

so i think i ur case u should open the stock gsr then import p30 for ur b16 head and start to tune

well its an ls/vtec with a 95 gsr head, so should i use a different bin?

all basemaps are just that, BASEMAPS and should used as ONLY a basemap. this means NO boosting untill the wideband is in and your adjusting the .bin. you would use the stockgsr.bin, then start adjusting. the stockgsr.bin will be the closest you can get to your setup. it is fairly easy, make sure to run richer than 12.5a/f while under boost. I like to keep the a/f ratio in the high 11’s for safteys sake. while in low-zero vacume run 13’s and gradually raise to high 14’s-low 15’s at high vacume/idle. I hope this helps.

which version of uberdata should i go with, 1.66 or 1.7?

play with both of them. I have like 6 different versions.

cool im gonna start playing around with it, but what is this pa sensor vtec coolant check and eld?

eld electronic load detector so uncheck that and ur knock sensor, vtec coolant, pa sensor

check injector test disable, speed limiter, close loop, and o2 heater.

u will need a wideband to tune ur car.

i didnt use a wideband when i first had car idleing and it was running funky so i put the wideband on to find out i was 17:1 at idle and pig rich when i was just driving around no boost.

now with the wb im now 14:6 at 1500 rpm (thats my idle 780’s big) 22inhg, 0inhg 12:6 and boosting at 11:6 7 psi. no back firing and a real smooth response. car seems to be holding back so im getting new exhaust put in 3" dp on back

so the things that need to be checked are vtec, o2, speed, and injector and thats it right? i dont see anything about close loop, i messing around with version 1.66 for now so maybe thats why

i kind of like 1.7ost ostrich support… believe me get the ostrich it is worth it when ur tunning car u can change parameters on a fly thats how i got my car
to idle…

most of the bins in zenocrons r in 1.7

u got aim or yahoo messinger

yeah you can hit me up on aim at quackinclemson. i will download 1.7 if i have to i was just messing around with it for now, i havent even bought anything for my turbo project just yet, and when you change it with the ostrich does it stay that way or do you have to take the chip out and reburn it first?

You leave the Ostrich in your car full time. No burning of chips required (very handy).

I’m sure I have that original basemap but like everyone else says start with the GSR BIN and disable the knock sensor. Everything else you should be able to leave as is.

Change the injector size and setup the boost stuff and start tuning with a wideband from there.
