the only reason u need a dyno for tuning is if ur making soo much power that u have no traction on the street to get ur a/f’s proprer.
get it street tuned get good a/fs and ull be good then dyno it after and see how much power u made
sweet deal bro, saved me another 300-400 $ that wouldnt have been necessary , the guys im going to are called " Image in motion " there in maple ridge, do you have any suggestions on other places to get it installed / tuned ?
currently im looking at, $400 - $600 for installation, $100-150 for tuneing.
install yourself man, 600 bucks just to have someone install. rediculous. all you need to know is how to remove your header, oil pan and crossmember. Thats the hardest it gets other than making your intercooler piping. seriously do it yourself because what if something happens to something on your setup, you wont have a clue what to do because you have no experience on how to locate the problem on your kit. Do it and learn, best thing is to have a buddy help you that knows about cars.
ya ive bought some shit from IIM but i dont think they are as knowledgeable on force induced Hondas as dcpturbo is. give dcpturbo (andrey) a call at 604-765-1121 ask him about how much install and tuning would be. there tuning mine on saturday
Alright ill give them a call, see what they can do it for. the guys at IIM seem pretty sure its going to cost me $900-1000 once its all installed and tuned, i think thats rediculous just for an install. unfortunately i dont know anyone who can install a turbo kit
If I did it myself it would prob take too long, Id only have a weekend to do it so, Id rather have someone else install it in a couple hours.
Also for the tune since its a 91 0bd0 , i cant get tuned with uber data correct? has to be turbo edit ?
can your stock ECU be chipped or do you ahve to buy a whole new one? the guys at iim said they can chip my reg ECU for uberdata for 75$ but i dont think thats accurate unless im the dumb one lol
you can convert it to obd1 using a 100 dollar harness. i recommend it.
oh yea, DYNO TUNE!!!
ive been using uberdata for the past 2 years, street tuned numerous cars
my last one already had a real good a/f ratio going into the dyno. i started with 282/209 and left with 318/241. took 3 hours but i did a lot of bs’ing too. it coulda been done in 2 hours easy. its very very hard to accurately and safely tune timing on the street without a torque curve to look at. the dyno made it 10000x easier and my results were much better
