Just traded my Da for a Db and I wanna do something along the lines of VIP style with it… It’s dumped on 16’s right now and has a Boso exhaust which I’m pretty sure ain’t gonna fit into the VIP style, but anyway, I’ve been searching and can’t find anyone that has done a Db this way. Looking for pics, rim and tire size, and amount of drop.
thats dumped? but yeah. Im not too sure, if DBs really fit into the VIP scene but, i assume its somewhat possible, but nothing that can be considered REAL vip status. 18in+ wheels with a width of 10in+, negative offset, pulled/cut fenders exessive camber. you can only go so far with these cars and i cant imagine getting wheels bigger than 17x7 with a negative offset AND making them fit PROPERLY. Theres a few here that are inredibly low though. Good luck with your build, keep us updated.
I say that it’s dumped cause it’s about as low as I can go and still get up my driveway. even then I have to go at a major angle to get up it. Even the slightest of speed bumps just drag down the length of the chassis.
vip style wheels i would go with 16x8+10 go with something super polished or chrome…also most vip cars are black or white…so maybe a color change woule be in the future
Damn… I want it. I’m going black with her, the red is pretty faded on top and I have a red truck already so the car is fair game for a re-paint.
My buddy just gave me a set of sick lookin 18’s but I’m not sure I wanna go that big. They have 225/40/18’s on them and it fits, but my fenders touch on top, obviously I would get some smaller tires, but I still think they’re just too big. Really digging the bigger wheels tucked up in the wheel wells, but on the other hand, deep dish 16’s with a small stretch looks so flippin sexy it ain’t funny…
I guess where I got mixed up was in thinking that VIP was the same as stanced… Total newb move on my part, but regardless. I love the way these things look on some deep dish rims, just wondering if this “trend” will be long gone sooner than later…
Another n00b mistake is building your car to fit a trend. Build it how YOU like it. Whether this trend is temporary or not should not affect how you put YOUR car together.
