VIS VS. SEIBON hoods - which is better?

are there differences in quality between VIS and SEIBON? haven’t tried a CF hood yet…feedback please?

I would like to hear some feedback as well

Will i got Seibon CF hood, but about VIS i don’t know how good is there quality made… but I like my Seibon CF hood better then VIS made.

i think vis is better quility product.seibon is alrite vis been in the business longer and they product is expensive.they need to hookitup.

Will think about it VIS & Seibon CF hood price when up past years ago now is around $500 to $600 dollar, but the first time I bouth my Seibon hood around $415.

to me both hoods are good. but i have seen seibon looking better for some reason compared to price as well. it also matters to how one can take care of the hood too.

i’m trying to decide between the 2 and dont know which one is better quality, but my maine concern is oxidation. i had a fiber image CF hood for my EK and it oxidated real bad within the 3months i had it. from my expiriance stay away from fiber image…

interested in this discussion, but can you fucking PLEASE spell right/form a proper sentence structure? i can understand a few words in an 8 sentence paragraph, but not ever other fucking word…you guys are typing like english is your second language.:read:

hahaha :iagree:

Stay away?

Those are almost the best hoods out there hands down. Light weight. Strong. Durable.

Mine lasted for several years and the person before that had it for a while. His car was in an accident crashing into a median head on and the only problem on the hood was a knick on the corner. Still lasting to this day.

VIS + Seibon = < Fiber Images.

head on into the meadian?..mine shattered completly when i wrecked my car…

but them ur hood probably didnt get oxidated since the the illinois summer sun/heat isnt close to texas summer sun/heat…

I have a seibon hood and it was oxidized within the first 6 months. Compared to the VIS hood i think they are both just as great pound for pound.

6 months?! how do you fix the oxidation? that’s a lotta money for only 6 months before you have to put even more money into it!!

Mine never oxidized at all. Sat in the sun all day everyday. Clearcoat even never peeled after several years.

FI is the lightest hood available (from what I know).

^^^i agree on u about the lightness, it was pretty light. but like i said texas heat/sun is brutal…

no fib, re-clear coat the hood, whichever one you go with, as soon as you can.

Wow, just wow. I knew this board had changed for the worse, but I didn’t know the extent. I am speechless and dissappointed.

Twice I have bought hoods from VIS and both times they came warped and I couldn’t mount my windshield washers…they offered a pretty good discount so I kept it and just leveled it out with hood pins…My buddy bought a Seibon at the same time and his came in perfect. It even had spaces to mount the windshield washers…I’m not sure who my next hood will be made by…D

why the disappointment, colin?

there was a time, in days of yore, when people actually made the effort to spell words properly and not intentionally misspell them in the hopes of looking more thuggish, when posting on the internet.

those days are long gone. and it saddens many folks very deeply.
