can i use the extra nipple on my intake for the wastegate? you know how theres two and we only use one? im not sure how to do all the vaccum hoses and stuff yet. kinda lost…please help…I have a b16…thanks
unless you are running a boostcontroller leave the top banjo/line fitting on the wastegate open… the one on the bottom hooks up to a fitting on theintake/ compressor housing if applicable (some turbos have a fitting directly on the compressor, this will give your wastegate much better response time and is safer and will be lees prone to overboost,)
i do have a boost controller. and the thing is my turbo doesnt have one on the compressor housing. so what can i use then? thanks
i think you are suppose to use a vaccuum source thats before the throttle plate, at least thats how the tial diagram reads
where would that be?
yea ur right, try and get a vaccum sorce before throttle plate… (on Blow off valves side not inside manifold) and if there are no fittings go to a local hardware store, and buy a 1/8" npt fitting and tap it into ur IC piping, and then since the fittings are brass braze it in there or use some good old Jb weld to ensure it doesnt goo flying out under boost…
Im using the golden eagle vacuum manifold, really makes things easier and it wont break your wallet. Look into it.
…i have my boost gauge hooked to my FPR vaccum line. can i just tee of that for the bov, boost controller, and wastegate? i also heard something about the brake booster?
Well, I have my wastegate tapped into the Brake booster line, and the BOV tapped into the FPR line. Then I used the nipple on the back of the IM (where cruise control went to I believe) for the Boost gauge. HTH

invest in a Vaccum manifold…http://www.goldeneaglemfg.com/street.html
Got my boost gauge, FMU(pos i need hondata back), Boost controller(not inuse w/fmu), BOV, missing link/map(same line)
yea basically it cleans up ur engine bay(Tees, make finding vaccum leaks a bitch {even w/propane}) i got mine from www.onesixmotorsports.com for like 40 bucks
A vac mani is fairly cheap compared to most parts. It definately looks a lot cleaner. Im just not a fan of T’s and vacumm lines running all over the place. Get a Golden Eagle vacuum manifold you wont regret it.
