Well, I noticed the increasing amount of people too lazy to research info on turboing, its options, what needs to be done, how a turbo works, etc. etc. (and superchargers… even though turbo is better)
I think we should make a “Forced Induction Guide” it seems a lot of people come in here, and ask questions, and dont get answered, or get negatively responded “Do a search you stoopid noob!” or get bad answers from dum dums.
I think a “guide” will help introduce people that want to enter the turbo community, because it seems a lot of the “gurus” don’t like to answer questions asked a lot.
In the guide, we should have basics:
How a turbo works
Turbo sizes
The parts(bov, wg, intercooler, etc.) and what they do
More advanced crap:
Electronics
Tuning (engine, maps[fuel, ignition, yada], various things)
how a turbo hurts your engine (detonation, overboost)
It’s late, so my ideas are kind of basic, but yeah we could put together a guide, I think we should do it
Who’s the authority? Would you agree to a consensus on people’s opinions on setups? You have plenty hear that would just as soon put fishtank valves on their cars as opposed to those who would use something like a Missinglink. If you feel like compiling a list of things to use as a guide, I’m sure the turbo guys here wouldn’t mind reviewing it.
Why don’t you just recommend people to buy a book like “Maximum Boost” by Corky Bell. I have learned so much from that book and i am only half way through it… .

I do mention the book in the FAQ, but it’s hardly Honda (or G2 Integra) specific…

Or one of the other billions of excellent forced induction books. :naughty:
