I posted in another thread that I just programmed a new chip for my injectors to run at 14psi. Well everything was fine until later on that day the upper intercooler piping popped off. I put it back on and realized that when i get to 10lbs of boost it pops off. It comes off from the intake manifold. I thought of everything possible. I thought maybe the coupler was worn so i changed that, and that didnt help. I tightened the bracket i have holding the intercooler pipe steady and that didnt help. Has anyone else had this problem?
First of all. Your thread title sux and I’d be surpised if teh mods don’t modify it themselves or lock this.
second. try using stronger clamps such as T-bolt clamps. If that doesn’t work. then get a lip welded on the edge of the pipping so the couplers won’t blow off. Or bead roll it.
