Went to the track last nite!

So last nite a few buddies and I decided to go to the track. We live in Wisconsin so the closest track is GLD down in Union Grove. Well I had not done much since the last time we went to the track so I figured I would be running 15.2’s or 15.3’s. The only things I have done are new tires and alittle more weight reduction. Heres my best time of the night.
R/T .376
60’ 2.178
1000 12.447
1/4 14.932
MPH 90.72

Some of the other info didn’t show up on the slip, but you get the idea. I ran 14.9 like 3-4 times. What do you guys think?

my ride: 91 Integra GS, Flat Black, Daily Driver, Mods: Short ram, header back exhaust. Goldline springs with Tokico HP Struts, Fat Fives on Falken Ziex’s, 92-93 Tails.
Best E.T. 14.9@ 91 mph
Best 60’ was a 2.133

bump for the freak g2 tegs!!

:werd: Broke 14’s with minimal mods. You must be a good driver

thanks i have only been to the track 3 times. The car is holding up real nice with 205,ooo miles.

Very impressive for bolt ons. What all have you done weight wise?

:werd: i wish i could run that

Thats a badass time for your car. What other mods have you done to it? Weight reduction?

I’ll like to see what rpm you launch from and how you do it.

You Def have to have a shit load of weight reduction to break 14’s with intake and exhuast. When you say “Header” back… are you saying you have an aftermarket header and catback… or just the catback?

I went to the track with my Teg just to see what it would pull… and I was suprised for being all stock except no muffler. Best run of the night was a 15.43 @ 88Mph on a 2.2 60’ with slipping clutch and really really bald tires. Full weight(including spare and jack) and a 1/2 tank of gas.

Nice run though. Can you type out the whole slip so we can see your 330’ time, 1/8 mile time and Mph?

EDIT Oh yeah… my car was a 91’ Integra RS with stock B18A and 160,000 Miles.

i’ve got 292,000 miles on my 90 gs hatch, weight reduction, no spare/jack, cai, no cat, no resonator, straight-through muffler, pulled a 10.030 1/8 mile a little while back. so i’m not sure my 1/4 but i want to get one of those electronic devices that measure that stuff in your car. if anyone knows a good one or where to get a good deal, let me know: rayservist0651@aol.com or just post, thanks.

ps. i’ll post my best timeslip when i find it later today, also, my clutch slips really bad, hoping to get it replaced soon.

a 10.0 1/8 mile will translate roughly to about a 15.7 in the quarter. My Teg pulled a 9.8 in the 1/8 and translated into a 15.43 in the 1/4. So, you are looking at about a 15.7

^^ you sure thats right? my best time at the 1/8th is 10.3 with a modded b16a. i was pulling on some decent cars that night too like a new Si with mods, v8 impala, some other swapped civics… there is no way i run near 16 second 1/4. i dont know about a b18a but my torqueless motor doesnt start pulling until i’m halfway down the track(or until i get traction, i suck at launching) so maybe my 1/4 time would be better than that.

didnt mean to highjack your thread dude. GOOD JOB

here’s my exact timeslip for 1/8:
reaction: .720
I1: 2.270
I2: 6.477
E.T.: 10.038
MPH: 68.744

This was on 10/14/04, so just over a year ago, not sure what it’d be now, but when i get my new clutch, it’ll be faster, cause my clutch slips all the time, even from the get-go. doesn’t have to be hot for it to slip.

Well… It might not be the EXACT time, But very close. And yes… a 10.3 1/8 mile will be about a 15.9-16.0 at the 1/4. What was your trap speed for your 10.3 1/8 run?. My trap speed for my 9.8 1/8 was 70.83Mph.

-Joe

You can’t really compare 1/8th mile times unless they are similiar mods on the same engine. A B16 makes more power at the higher end so its gonna be faster at the end then a B18. A 1/8th track is too short since your really not even getting out of 3rd gear. I raced a DC2 a while back on a 1/8th track and we were pretty close to each other but Im sure if it were a 1/4 track then he would of pulled hard to the finish.

You also have to take in account, Weather, elevation, driver, etc…

i was getting horrible 60’s and rt’s, like 2.4xx every run. and my trap speeds were 68-69 every time. i know this car could break into 9’s with a better driver and more prep work, i didnt even lower my tire pressure or take any weight out of the car.
oh i would just shift into 3rd as i cross the finish line.

anyway i’m still amazed with 2ndgentegracer’s time. people at the track were surprised at the times i was running…maybe its just a shitty track. sadly they dont know a good time for a G2 with a good driver and the right preperation. i was the fastest import that night :dunno:

As for weight reduction, I pulled:all seats but drivers, all plastic in the rear, rear wiper motor, and the passenger side headlight.

As for performance, I have a header, high flow cat, I had a custom side exit for the track, and a cheap ebay intake painted black.

As for the launch, I kept it right around 3K, then slipped the clutch.

post your time slip…i really don’t believe this. You must have something else your not letting us know about. There is no way an ls can break into the 14’s…its not possible especially not on a 2.1 60 ft. An ls doesn’t have the gearing nor power to make it into the 14’s. How the hell can you be running what a type-r runs…gsr’s barely make it into the 14’s…no way it is possible with an LS.

How in the hell are you guys pulling such fast times? I pulled 15.1 at 95 mph, witha 2.3 60ft…i am so freaking pissed! this is the reason why im getting rid of it…

i think he’s justy lying…shit w/ my gsr swap i pulled a 14.6 @ 95 w/ a 2.3 60 ft and somehow this guy w/ a basically stock ls is running what a type-r runs…? His tranny sucks and the motor lacks power yet he managed to trap at 90 and hit a 14 sec 1/4 mile. I just can’t see how this is possible…besides he has a gs which is the heaviest model…120 hp is not even close to enough power to get into the 14;s let alone w/ the longest gears man ever made.

me and you are trapping at the same speed and have the same 60 ft, why is your 1/4 mile time so high…?

subscribing to the thread… dont mind me… :ok:
