Hey guys, just wanting your opinion based on these pics on my friends downpipe making skills.
Anything you guys see that could have been done better? Feedback welcome.

looks good, is there a bottom bracket on it? his welds are nice, what manifold is that?
Yes, there is a bottom bracket.
It’s an Inline Pro manifold.
Pics don’t work? When I get the link to each pic. it jsut leads me to my hotmail inbox? lol
Sorry, my mistake. Links should work now.
this mybe little pricing but it just mybe better ( link didnt work) http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=ATP-MDP-002&Category_Code=MDP
and one of this http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=ATP-MDP-001&Category_Code=MDP
V-bands are cool. Easy to take out when you need to. Unlike a down pipe thats made little more work to drop.
still no go.
and eys. VBAND is THE BEST> make sure tog et this to go alnog with the downpipe
I have used ATP’s vband plenty of times, but its not gonna happen if the compressor housing is on the drivers side. We did Allan’s(nosintegra92) vband style, and he is quite happy with it, especially now that he has a reason to take it off
Pics work now
Let me know what you guys think.
Good work. nice welds. great entry angle on dump tube recirculation, bad placement tho
You think the placement would effect performance? Why is it bad?
Generally you want the entry to be as far down stream from the turbo as possible, The ruel of thumb floating aronud seems to be 18" or more. Smooth entry angle and far away from the turbo minimizes turbulancs on entry. But by no means will your setup be bad. it will still work great
I had heard that 18" was the best thing to do. I hope it doesn’t diturb turbulence/air flow though. I have the option of having it re-done, so I want to be sure that I get a good one.
You think I should stick with this one? or have one made with the dump tube entry lower?
The other thing I noticed was the O2 bu ng placement. It is located right where the dump tube enters the DP. You can’t see it in the pic unfortunately but it sits right behind the dump tube. You think that’s a bad spot?
Shouldn’t matter. I ahd all 3 of my O2 sensors around taht area. Here was my odl setup. not the ebst angle at all. but you get it. I wouldn’t bother redoing it… it’s already very nice.

I see what you mean on having the dump tube lower, much lower. I noticed that when I recieved it in comparison to my current DP on my setup. My mechnaic had placed the dump tube quite low.
My setup is a built ls/vtec making 427whp. I just want to be sure everything is good to go.
In that case, you should prolly redo it properly…
LOL…Im sure i’ll be fine. I may lose a few ponies, I’ll manage.
Looks very nice…I agree with Tch that you should have recirculated later in the exhaust stream.
With skills like that, why dont you just have him make you a side exiting dump tube…make it look sick coming out of the front bumper
Looks sweet, I wish I had a friend who could just throw that together for me
