What kind of times you turbo guys running

we just turbo’s a 90 gs with a kkk k26 turbo ss tube header 450 cc injectors blitz bov apexi s-afc apexi avc-r boost controller greddy turbo timer, I think thats most of it…
we ran a 14.4 with a 2,7 60 foot time… (stock 195 60 14 tires) no traction I’m sure mid 13’s are going to be in the very near future with just some tires and a decent driver… just curious to see what other turbo tegs are running… anyone else try turboing a 400,000 km motor? it works great dont be scared were running 8 pounds boost, although the car is basically untuned we threw it together one night at the shop and didnt have a rising rate regulator… no, it wont blow up were running super rich no pings allowed!

i have a b16 sir 2 with inline pro 3mm headgasket, drag gen 2 turbo kit, prelude 345 cc injectors, unorthodox crank pulley, exedy clutch,ls transmission, apex vafc… i ran with sorry steel wheel street tires 13.5 @ 110…im boosting 15lbs of boost…still looking for dsm 450’s so i can boost up atleast 16lbs and run high 12’s or low 13’s on slicks

is that with stock internals???

sure is stock internals

Do you have any pics ?
Where do you get your manifold ?

im suprised its running like that, those injectors dont seem big enough…
and it seems as though u wouldnt be able to get nearly enough fuel, since the injectors are so small, 16 psi wowzers… id think u wouldnt be trimming to much wid the vafc since the injectors are smaller… there for id think ud run oughta map still, tell me how do u do it?
get ne codes, ru sure it a decent a/f mixture?

15#s isnt that big of a deal, but those injectors are pretty small. sure your not running lean?

were running 450’s
at 8 pounds… its a little on the rich side… stock internalled at 400,000 km’s! WOOT! mid 13’s easy with a decent driver and some decent tires

im still running just a tad lean…still need bigger injectors but i have a walbro 255 intank fuel pump, the inline fuel pump that came with the turbo kit, the vortech fmu, the prelude 345cc injectors, and the vafc…so the fuel is well taken care of…i have a apexi turbo timer that comes with a built in air/fuel number gauge…i wish i had a dyno here in jacksonville so i can see how much hp im pushing to the wheels…im thinking probably about 270…

just so you know, that is not an accurate a/f meter. its just reading off stock o2 sensors. your better off with an egt guage, i wouldnt boost with out one.

with the afc hack you need to run rich with as much timeing as you are running.

i have an egt probe but my egt gauge got stolen in my car…it got broken into while it was in the paint shop.

if ur running a lil lean, on that gauge, ur really running way lean
and btw, less air wid the right amount of fuel is gonna yield u more power, and not to mention safety.
so for the time being i hope u realize ud be making more power and be safer wid less boost!

a lot of good that probe is doing you. keep on running it lean…let us know how long it lasts.

i dont see anyone else posting up times…whats everyone else run? less talk and more times posted

anti- crack
i have egt gauge the only thing i really know for sure is over 15,000 deg my piston’s will melt
but what i want to know what deg. on egt = what a/f ratio

12.43@112.67—> stock internal ls, stock injectors. not my g2, my g3.

nice time…what mods do u have to make ur car break into 12’s?

15,000? i dont run mine over 1,500. i dont know exactly how to tell the a/f ratio, but i do know what is too hot. too hot is bad.
i know im running in a safe range.

im sure race inc can answer your question better.

not too much…act hd/ss, open diff, drag kit with greddy fmic, 10psi, open downpipe, profecb/safc, 22in mickeys. drove the balls off it. only pulled a 1.90 60’ but still was movin.

not bad for an open diff. now im getting excited to see what i can do whith the welded diff.:stuck_out_tongue:
