What Turbo kits let you keep your AC?

the topic states it all Thanks !

DRAG for sure. Don’t know about the rest. Do a search, I know I have seen it answered several times.

ok well since im a die hard LS fan it seems that DRAG is the onely one that makes Turbos for my motor. *sigh. The DRAG2 is the only one that i can put on my motor that will fit and work right. (if any one knows any others pleas speak up) right now im keeping the stock motor. i have CAI and new vaccume lines. i know i need to build the bottom end up and i have that already planed out. (Crower Titanium Rods, blah blah blah) any how.

i was told that AC and Turbos dont mix. being told that by many people i tend to trust the masses. besides i know how much power it sucks when you dont have a high tech motor. you throw that ac on and your car goes from 80 to 70 in like .02 sec. it blows. so what is the real reason or is that just it??? if so then why cant i have a turbo and ac just not run the ac when im doing all my racing around? is having a turboed ac car (and not using ac) the same as a car wihtout ac and having the same turbo???

now that i pissed off the tech gods with the same Q that every one keeps asking im out of here. you all drive safe and see you on the road…

There are 2 reasons people ditch their A/C.

  1. Lack of room in the engine bay
  2. Excessive piping that’s needed to plumb around affects responsiveness.

Personally, I HAD to keep my AC, 105 degree days in a daily driver is rough. The DRAG kits allow you to keep it, not sure about the others, though. The piping is different(alot longer) than guys who don’t have it. Check some of the past threads entitled ‘intercooler piping’ to see. Namely member Haberdasher has his AC nixed, you will see how direct the piping is from the turbo to the intercooler. Whereas mine has to take an indirect route since the AC compressor and power steering are still there. Takes a bit more trimming, but it can work. Good Luck.
