ok i have a t3/to4e.today i trying to install the turbo when i hit a road block,It seems that the oil return and oil supply line are backwards.
heres a pic the oil supply line is at the bottom while the return is on top.
has anyone ever has this problem before, some plz help im stumped and really looking for help.O yea i searched and did find anything on this topic. :hmm:
sorry heres the actual pic
wtf? Thats the opposite of what you described. That looks fine. The oil drain appears to be on top?
ok newb…here. i just thought the large flange was the oil return. On my friends turbo that flange is facing towards the ground(big flange return hose).now on my turbo its the opposite the oil line that goes to the oil pan is facing up and, the line that goes from the pressure sensor is facing down. :uhoh:

Yea in the Pic…U need to have it on the bottom, if u dont clock it it will smoke like a chimney and eventually blow up.
THE small hole (oil feed) needs to be on the top of the turbo when mounted on the mani. The large hole is for the oil return.
u need to clock the center section. Here is a how-to on clocking the center section
very very very helpfull i really apprecite it.
Man i knew there was something weird. i rotated the turbo man it was very ez.
i just wanna thank ComptonsF1NEST for knowing what i was talking about .
i LUV these forums!!! :hi5:
That shiny thing on top is a drain flange. Where it is supposed to be. Why are you clocking it?
correct me if im wrong but i thought the big flange goes to the oil return.and the small threaded bolt goes into the oil pressure senser.
The way you have it setup right now is how it should be. Oil comes in through the smaller hole, and leaves through the larger one with the 38mm or 44mm flange.
yea therefore i gotta clock it 180*. as seen on the picture its off by 180*
Depends how your mani looks. Mine connects right upside down so that would be perfect.
racing poverty would u happen to have pictures???
google.com does. What pictures do you need? The angle that you need depends on your manifold. If you are connection to a mani where the outlet faces tstraight down, then your turbo is fine.
