ok ive searched and ive came to a few conclusions. My car is overheating as soon as i drive it for like 5-10 moinutes. I already changed the cap, i flushed the system and fill it with 50/50 , and i also changed the temp sending unit (the lil gold sensor on the side under the dist. with only 1 wire going to it) and still it over heats. The engine is a b20z block with a b16a1 head with a t25 turbo set up. Im going to change the headgasket but which one should i get? =The stock b20 crv one or something else?? Im really tired of this car. It runs so smooth but this little problem is keeping me from enjoying it. **the block was rebuilt before i bought it 1 month ago cuz the pistons cracked. Might this have something to do with it all??? Please help…
well first off get reed of that b20 block not good for turbo. Sleeves are to thin and WILL CRACK.
Now what you can do is stay allmotor. A friend of mine here in austin had a 13 comp ratio b20 vtec. Runs 12.3 all day long.
but if that is not an option. Golden Eagle makes them. For cheap price go to camp1320.com
I orderd my block gaurd from them. They carry alot of GE products.
Ge is top of the line.
edit. if you do get rid of the b20 get an ls. better for boost. bigger turbo and it will net you around 350hp with good tuner.
I would know. friend has ls/vtec tuned by st00pid= one of the top tuners in texas. also tunes the fastest hondas in texas. 750hp
im going to a junk yard at 5 to pick up a new steering rack off of a 90 ls, i will ask them how much they would want for the block or if they have to get ride of the whole motor how much they want for it.
oop’s didnt see that you live in so cal… never mind
