I am trying to figure out which radiator to use on a turbo application. I did a seach and got a little bit of information but it didn’t really say any thing about the upper and lower radiator hoses.
I know i need to use the 92-95 civic radiator, right?
I have my stock radiator, no issues at all (cooling or space). I did get rid of the stock fans and put a single 10" FAL in FRONT of the radiator though.
you “CAN” use a pusher fan but one thing you should keep in mind is with your cooling system you should be getting at least around 2000 CFM. you can read this in the turbo guide. I used 2 Perma-cool fans; 1-10", 1-12"( because there cheaper than all the rest and seem to have the most CFM for your money) 2450CFM between the both of them.
Its better because it gives you more clearance inside the engine bay for your turbo setup.
As for the Turbo guide, I’m sure it says 2000cfm, but Im right around 1200cfm, live in the desert and didn’t have any cooling problems throughout the entire summer. The cooling just depends on alot of factors, the health of your engine/radiator, how efficient you run your turbo, etc. Pick a direction and keep an eye on your temps when you first drive it.
