I am building a Turbo LS/VTEC with goals of 450 WHP+. I am going to be running a sleeved block and was curious what sleeves are better golden eagle or Darton? I was just looking at ERL’s website
I believe ERL uses Darton Sleeves. Both are very reputable companies. Benson is another great resource for getting your block sleeved. Talk to Earl at Laskey Racing 714.688.0222 (*Note - Rogue Works is not affiliated in any way with Laskey Racing or Benson Machine, I just happen to know they do QUALITY work, and Earl knows his stuff.)
…do a block fill and get it drilled, it will cost about 1/8th the price and hold up better
Thats not a fact^
It is a great alternative for a lot less money, but it is not a superior option. You can afford to get it sleeved proffesionally, do so.
I have thought about filling my block, but it will never be supperior to resleeving.
stock sleeves just get a good tuner!
