your suspension and pics

i’ve been good with my hp’s and skunk2 sleeves for about over a year, with a 2.75 drop. could be better, but i’m just driving it around.

I went through the same thing.

In the end I decided on getting tokico illumina’s and sportlines. Since I heard from MANY people that their Tokico HP’s (blues) didn’t hold up.

I use Koni Yellow

Pay no mind to the multi-colored panels… neuspeed sport, and the dreaded blues

billabongrob - my car looks like that rigt now as well. Except no red… Ive got CF hood, tan fender, black bumper and the rest is Gray… lol… I also used to rock those hub caps…

Im on Tein SS’s w/DC forks. I guess Im slammed all the way down… Ill get pictures tomorrow.

stock shocks + skunk 2 coils = harsh w/ a capital H

right now I am on Tokico Blues and Maxspeed coilovers, and it sucks! but next week my Function Form coilovers come in and I will post a review and all that good stuff for the guy/gals that want to know how they are

skunk2 coilovers on blues

woah woah woah…racing on blues?! lol Im sure they’ll hold up for awhile…the drop doesnt look to rough however they are coilovers…

Well I just resently sold her but she was a damn good ride. Another guy that races his hatch has had the same set up for 2-3 years cant remember. I also had a ITR sway bar so it was a good stiff ride, cornered really well. My friend little bro bought the car and said it still rides good.

sup Burch, havent seen you on the boards in a while, is that Johns white teg in the pic of the 3 tegs?

For people who have aftermarket lower control arms which brand did you use?

I’m mostly getting them for looks. That and the rear lower bar.

no it was before his time.

I bought some used blues around dec. of last year and as of maybe a month or two my front ones feel like shit and one back one totally blew it’s oils. But Im dropped on 1.8 front and 1.5 back on neuspeed springs. I replaced the back one with another used one so now my back are good and I just ordered the illuminas for the front. Is it a good idea to use different type of shocks like im going to be doing as soon as I get my illuminas installed?

Hmmm…let me get this straight:

1 new set of Tokico HPs: roughly $300 shipped

1 pair of used Tokico HPs: I’m guessing $50?

1 pair new Tokico Illuminas: roughly $220 shipped

Total: $570

1 new set Koni Sports: $600 shipped

…I guess there is something to be said about doing it right the first time.

haha :owned: jhk but keep up this thread also info in cheapest place to get the at(site)

I paid 340 shipped for my blues w/HR’s… then sold them for 285… and picked up some tein SS’s… for $500…

nah actually i paid 200 for the blues then used them one year then the back one blew so I got one from a homie for 20. Then as of now I bought me the illuminas for 220 yeah I guess but I don’t feel the money until now that you told me…!!! :dunno:

But anyways yeah at least they lasted me a year till I could get me some better ones back then I was broke…

this is how my car sits to get back on subject of the thread…

nice thnx for posting up pics(got me a good visual now haha)rom 1-nice car btw how are the blues as far as stiffness? is it like stock , alot stiffer?from 1-5 (5 being the stiffest) or 1-10 (10 being the stiffest)

well my stock shocks were all blown so I don’t know how really stock is but the blues are confortable not to jumpy not to soft I guess 3… im waiting on my illuminas now though cuz now I feel every damn bump both front shocks are blown…
