I have a freak motor, why can’t you guys see that, the mods I have are not enough to put the average LS into the 14s. My motor has 212K on it and its pulling harder than ever.

I think the point that everyone is trying to make is that you may have more in your car than you know. Have you had the engine apart completely? If not, are you certain that the head hasn’t been milled WAY beyond specified limits? Have you looked at your pistons to see if they might be P30’s? Are you absolutely CERTAIN that you’re running stock cams? If so, have you considered a possibly larger-bore throttle body may be on the car. Is it possible that the car had some port work done previous to you owning it? Maybe…just maybe…you’re EXTREMELY lucky and there’s a stroker kit in the bottom end. It’s not likely, but it is possible. I guess I’m just coming from the line of thought that if you haven’t owned your car for its entire life, you can’t be certain what someone else may have put in there. Case in point: My friend had himself a 92 Talon 2WD Turbo that would blow everything off the road. For the life of us we couldn’t figure out why it was faster than ANY other Talon that either of us had been in to that point (mind you, this was Minnesota in 1998). We never did find out why that car was faster, but we knew that it came from a guy who raced it and we came to speculate that he had probably put an EVO-III turbo and O2 sensor housing on it at some point in time. This turbo would appear stock at a glance, but the power gains are silly once you start playing with the boost levels. Point being: sometimes when you get more than you pay for its a good thing.

I could also state that “I have a stock 89’ hatch that has a stock motor and its runs 12.7” but who the fuck cares right??? (my hatch has a b18c5 motor and its gutted, thats stock right? lol)

I went to the track today, I only got 4 runs in before the rain hit. My best time today was a 15.1. My friend has a video of me beating a GTI 1.8T, I ran a 15.2 in the video. I’ll have that up within a few days probably.
The track wasn’t very sticky today, so I could only get my 60’ down to a 2.3. For some reason I managed to chirp the hell outta 2nd, when on the street I can’t really chirp them at all with my dead clutch.
But I should have the video up within a few days.
If I were in your shoes I would have torn that engine apart trying to find out what was inside of it. If it ever dies or you decide to go into it you should let us know what your findings are. I’m curious as hell to know what’s in it…aren’t you? I can easily see a high 14 out of a B18A1, but I have a really hard time believing that there isn’t anything done inside of it. Oh well, if it runs good now I say go with it.
Good times i guess, the fastest i ran was a 15.5 with a cold air and a greddy cat-back. Now i run 12.8 with a t3 turbo !
Once the motor does finally go, or something major like a head gasket has to be done, I will rip it apart. For now shes running strong so there’s no need to destroy a good thing.
14.9 isnt unheard of. I met this kid at capital raceway that has a torino red g2 with I/H/E, skunk 2 intake mani, wires, OE clutch and flywheel, all accesories like ac and all and he ran a 15.1. But still thats alittle more mods than what this guy is listing but more weight so I think 60-150 lbs of weoght could be .2 of a second.
