1991 Acura Integra DA

Decoding the VIN would sum things up. But yeah it does look to be in good condition.

Its a GS DA9.

Problems:
Coolant Leak
3rd gear grind
Water puddle in trunk

Yup, sounds like you bought a da! Lol. Isn’t authentic without those issues (and possibly leaking on the passenger side floor board).

Good pickup nonetheless. I’m liking it.

Your right! Its rear passenger trunk drain hose that was off so I got a clamp and clamped it. Its also leaking from the tail light gaskets. $60 for Honda on Ebay. Thinking about just getting another set non cracked tail lights around the area.

I don’t know if that hose is supposed to be like that or not?

No it shouldn’t be like that, coolant is supposed to run through that

hb420: Thanks, Thought so. Do you know what its called?

Typically its because of an engine change where now there is no place for that hose to go. Had to do the same when I did my b20 swap.

ProMcCrown: But this is a stock b18a1 Shouldn’t it be connected to something even if its swapped?

I believe it hooks up to the intake manifold where it attaches to the head.

Yea that’s where I thought too. Will have to check friends DA to see where it leads. Besides that I got the car registered for $100. Need to get smog in 90 Days. To do that ill have to get myself a OEM Intake Box and Tube.

Painted Heatshield and Bought New Washers and Bolts

Installed Heatshield

Found a OEM Intake and Tube for $20 in Santa Ana. Gonna pick up as soon as friend gets off work. Will need a air filter still so its a choice between K&N or just a cheap one for now. Will have to wait and see.

Are you sure you have a B18A1? The valve cover looks different. I think it might be a newer B18b1? That would explain why the FITV hose is plugged.

This is what my B18A1 valve cover looks like.
