.42/.48 Users Chime In

ok instead of starting a new thread i will ask this in this thread cause it is still a small turbo on a ls. sorry if im jacking but it goea along with o.p. questions. what are some of you guys opinions and users if you would chime in also. on a svo turbo t3 60/63. those can be found cheap and should spool quick and be able to handle more whp down and not fall off top end like some say.

ive been debating on this turbo stock ls internaly but rebuilt with 12k miles setup to handle boost plan on running 10lbs. dsm 450 walbro 255 and tuned

can anyone chime in on this turbo on a ls? thanks again sorry if you think im thread jacking i just didnt see posting another thread when basicaly the same.

anyone running a t3 60/63 on a ls. t3 super60?

Hey, I know this thread is old, but I said I had one and would report on its performance when I got it installed. I got it installed a little while ago, and the car rips! It has no problem whatsoever holding 10psi to redline. It starts spooling at about 2000-2200 RPM and I have full boost by 3000 or so. It is great for the street at least, I havent taken it racing on a track or anything, and I only plan to maybe once or twice, just to see what kind of times I can pull. I would much rather just take it to a road course or something, I like to turn and go in straight lines. It is so nice to not have to wait until the high RPM’s to have boost, and I can have it right away. Passing and accellerating onto highways is awesome! I dont even have to drop it into 4th on the highway to pass, even though I do becaue it is more fun, haha, but you just add a little more gas and you have instant boost response! Also, coming out of corners is great, there is instant boost response there as well, whereas a bigger turbo would just start spooling out of a corner. Even though it spools fast, you CAN stay out of boost if you want to, and it is not hard to do. Less throttle = no boost. The hard part of staying out of boost is just wanting to feel the power again, haha. I would totally reccomend this turbo for B18a street users, not sure about racing like I said, but I think a T3/T4 is more suited to that kind of thing.

this thread is mad old but i have had this turbo on 3 of my ls integras and i love it in my 90 da with just a safc tune i ran a 13.7 on cheap street tires not gutted at all at 8 psi…turbo is basically always in boost you dont need to downshift on the freeway to pass cars …this turbo is incredible not too small for an ls integra at all
