I’ve had mine in for 2-3 years now, original 9007 Silverstar bulbs, and still haven’t had one single problem with them.
Then again, I sold my car last week and am driving with true HID’s (Acura TSX). What a difference.

driver side
for the right driver side it would be the middle and right wires?
i’ve had it done for about 7mo now and i haven’t had a problem. Also 3 diff times i’ve driven at night for more than 4hrs and didn’t have a problem.
I had this down about 2 days ago and man it’s amazing how much light output i got. Ugh all i have to do now is adjust it cause I think i’m ticking people off for blinding them :giggle:
i just converted it…
n i must say… it is alot brighter
I converted awhile ago, and they are A LOT brighter. I’ve since started using the Luminics 9007 Hyperwhite Bulbs (they’re rated @ 5900Kelvins). They’re pure white with a small hint of blue (it’s PERFECT)…
Here’s a pic, but it doesnt do it justice!
I had 9007 Silverstar Bulbs in before this and I put one of the 9007 luminics in and one of the 9007 silverstars in each headlight (ie had the silverstar in one headlight and hte luminics in the other). The 9007 Luminics were not only WAY whiter (made the Silverstars look yellow) but they were also WAY brighter
so, the conversion wont melt any harnesse or fuses due to higher wattage than the 9004, right?
Nope. Been running the conversion for over 2 years now. It’s really not that much more wattage.
sweet, i better start converting mine coz my 9004 stock bulbs really suck. i coudn’t even see the road at night. i also have to start removing my glare guards. it’s legal right. 9007 + the fog lights will be so bright
i cant decide w/c brand im gonna buy? what’s the best 9007 bulb
I personally really liked the luminics hyperwhite bulbs, but it depends on what you want. Do you want a pure white light with a hint of blue? do you want yellow lights? do you want just “white lights”? I’m sure PIAA makes some good 9007 bulbs. I’m personally very happy with my hyperwhite bulbs.
who sells that brand?
I got my 9007 Luminics from
http://www.luminicsbulbs.com/
I also have a pair of 9007 Silvania Silverstar bulbs that’ll I’ll sell you if you want. They’ve seen about 60 hours total use (before I switched to my Luminics 9007 bulbs). If your interested shoot me an email: greg.warren_AT_gmail.com (replace AT with @, sry spam spiders pick up the email) and we can discuss a price.
Pics of 9004 to 9007 silverstars conversion
looks the same to me  anyways, sweet GS-R. thinking of selling it??
Ur missing a front lip too and take ur lower license holder off .
I wanna see some more pics of your gs-r please sir.
Investment in better headlights
I’ve read the posts on converting from 9004s to 9007s with much interest.
On perusing the two different lights at the auto store, I saw that the 9007s put out 10 additional watts.
If the wiring harness is good (presumably an Acura’s is), the 9007s will probably not in most instances “fry” the wires, but I don’t want to lose lightage in the Minnesota winter.
Weighing my options, I bought 9004 Silverstars, and am very much pleased with their output.
I no longer find my Integra as a shadow cast on the interstate due to the much brighter lights of 95% of the other cars out there.
Spending the money on the Silverstars for the sure thing performance was better than risking a more expensive repair job of the greater wattage damaging the wiring.
Ok, what I really want is some clear headlight covers, and not those frosty plastic ice cube trays I have now.
Any suggestions of where these could be found?
im searching for those covers too. 9004 are bright in other newer models. i prefer glass covers over the plastic ones because they dont fade over time.
the only glass is our headlights. the foglight is plastic ans so are the corner lights
Maybe I’m Just missing something between the ears but instead of cutting and soldering the wires why not just re pin the harness?
and MethodMan how much higher wattage of a bulb did you use in your fogs?
I did this in my 1pcs (9007 silverstars) about 6mos ago and i’m not impressed. Light with the hibeams on is ok, but without is like a couple flashlights. So my highs are always on
