92BlueTeg's All Motor ITB build and restoration thread

Still no update. He said it was next in line, going to have to call on this to see where it’s at. Especially since these came in today

Whelp, finally got the block measured and set for honing. Just found out the pistons need to be oversized for both blocks. Looks like it’s time to sell the setup and grab some new pistons. What’s a build without complications?

In other news, accepted a new job offer on Boston that should help fund the Teg build a little more!

Only took a month for the production of the Pistons…but they are finally here! Now to drop them off and get this moving forward again. Also got a 7.5lbs Fidanza flywheel for x-mas.

Excited to see this year long engine build finally get done and put together

Sweet! Glad to see the ball is rolling again!

Yay!!! Picked up the block today. Machined, cleaned and balanced. Now to order the bearings and put it all together  excited to here these slap around

Trust me man it will be worth the wait I took almost two whole years on my build and it was seriously worth every minute

I agree with that. Taking the time to make it right! It will be worth the wait

Painted and most of the way together. Claying for clearance soon.

Looking good!

It’s a long time coming. More to go.

B17 trans in!!! Won’t be ready till next summer to start, but overly excited to hear it start for the first time

Big news! Making it a mission to get it road worthy before the wedding, but not my complete vision.

Ordered my stainless lines to finish the brakes up this spring. Cleaned up the one pieces a little.

After many times of rebuilding my wiring harness, I gave in and ordered a harness from Cj’s wiring. I wanted the comfort of knowing the wires were new and no splices/soldered together wires. Time is also money now, so it should be worth it!

Exactly the same thing that I was thinking when I went with Rywire. I had already gotten most of my harness done and couldn’t stop thinking I was just shining a turd. I’ve heard great things about CJ"s harnesses though

I hear ya, if I had the tools and could find the terminal pins I would have kept going, but with a brand new motor and years of it being down, last thing I want to chase is wiring :bang:

What color blue is this? Is/was this a factory color, for our cars?
