The box is originally made for the eg6 92-95 civic. I made two brackets to be able to mounted using the original holes for the da9 intake box.
Thank Colin and Michael. Now that the wheels are painted all if have to do is wait for the valve steams and decals to arrive at my door.
Finidhed restoring the neuspeed rear strut bar I picked up. I was going to fully polish it but at the end I changed my mind. My interior is pretty much stock and I that’s the reason why I opted for a gloss black coat on the bar to sort of blend with the interior instead of being too flashy.
Also, a friend of mine gave me this water flow tank that was in really beat up condition with dents and leaking hoses. I didn’t want to keep it polished and decided to paint it black. Still undecided If I will color match it to the car but I doubt it since I will mount it low around the frame rail. Might even be in front of the radiator support. For now I replaced the hoses and did some body work on the can. Need to find a decent bracket to hold it in place.
the color is a semi gloss black.
Got a nice package from japan yesterday.
After taking measurement and double checking that every wheel was perfectly good, I proceed to installed the new decals and black valve steams. As I said it on my instagram account, I know that silver grams lights originally came with blue stickers and blue valve steams, but these wheels aren’t originally silver and I didn’t plan to restore them to original finish. I went with black-white decals and painted the blue valve steams black. I already have jasper green, black, silver on the whole car and didn’t want to bring blue into the theme. The less colors there is the simpler it will be.
Damn, they look great! Way to bring them back to new condition! I’m glad to see you didn’t go with blue stickers, I agree that would look out of place on your car.
Perfection.
Really really feeling that wheel setup!
thanks guys. Now I just need to buy tires to get these wheels mounted on the car. At first I was going to use the tires from the current 17 wheels I have since I barely bought them. now that the wheels are done and look line new, I had a change of mind and I want to get brand new tires again. :hyper:
Small update. I already order my tires online and will be picking them on tomorrow morning. Also found a great deal on a discontinue Z-SPEED rear strut bar. The previous owner thought it was a spoon rep, but after I examine the bar I was able to determine it was a z-speed bar. I also picked up a EM Racing ‘Quick Release’ C-Pillar.
I was wondering about that “spoon rep” bar that was for sale, thought about picking that up myself Nice pickup
lol. When I saw it, I thought to myself it had to be a vision technical or z-speed bar. Then after talking to a friend he told me that bar used to be his and he had sold it to the guy I bought it from. He said he purchased the bar from moshi moshi a few years back. George from moshi moshi didn’t know what type of bar it was and all he told him was that “it came on a container from japan” lol. My friend didn’t know about z-speed and he thought it was simple a replica spoon as well.
Nice job on the tire always visting your thread to look for updates you are so meticulous.
Thanks for visiting Yes I am a very meticulous person and I sometimes hate it. lol
Here is a few updates. I installed the z-speed rear strut bar and as always I wanted a nice clean fit. I took my time and trim the plastic carefully until I got it the way I wanted. Im satisfied with the end result. Will need to re-polish my bar since it got scratch during the installing.
Carpet is a little dirty so ignore it.lol
I don’t think I have posted a photo of my “itr style” rear trunk brace. I know I will have to re-paint it since its gotten scratch with stuff ive had in the trunk. This bar has been in the car since I used to daily drive it.
Also installed the new wheels on the car.
is the trunk brace from an ITR?
No. This bar came off a 95 civic which is mounted on the front subframe.
oh ok. i think its perfect where you put it. its gona help a bit for sure.
Wheels are looking good on there!
I honestly didn’t feel any benefit other than looks. The only reason why I even installed it was because my friend had it laying in his garage and I decided to test fitted on my trunk.
Thanks man
maybe the improvement is very minimal. but i’m sure its there, maybe you will feel it more on the track?
Finally had some extra time to work on the f1 style mirrors.
This is another set I have been working on to make them fit better on 90-93 integras. The mirrors are carbon fiber. I decided to tint the carbon fiber so it wont be too exposed. Still working on the bases to get them fit close to perfect.
