this is more of a budget project and I got that drag mani for dirt cheap. Maybe I should have gone with a t3 turbo also, but then again I got the turbonetics t3 o4e 57trim .63 for dirt cheap also in nearly brand new condition. then the dsm BOV, 38mm tial set at .5 bar(7.25psi), jrc intercooler and spoolin downpipe and dumptube. I spent around 1300 so far and should end up spending around 15-1600 when im all done. I plan to use 440 injectors and a basemap and HOPEFULLY find someone who can street tune for me.
why do you say that ?? how am i a long way from boost? dont give me feedback without reasoning. Its just annoying. If you had a good reason to say that then I would understand.
i was at the same stage with u
everything tends to carry on?
mabe thats y for me… i got lazy one week, then got real busy another…
2 months pass by lol
well off topic but i started her up today
started on the first try…i hope urs is as easy…
one tip i learned is the -3an fittings need to be tight…use a wrench or pilers…hand tight makes it leak like a bitch
tony
btw piping for the DA is hard for fullrad+ac+ps
but if u dont have AC its much easier
oh yah dont forget to clock ur turbo
price of street tuning differs
but iam paying $200 for 2 hours streettune+chiping the ecu
yeah I set everything up so i make it easy for myself when i do it. I had my block shaved already so I have no clearance issues, I got an extra oil pan from the junkyard and got my bung welded on already, I don’t have a/c which gives me much more room and made two 2.75" holes in my chassis on the drivers side for the intercooler piping to turbo.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve planned everything out so I don’t panic when I do do it.
The only thing that gets me is that, there are NO local street or dyno tuners here in san diego that I know of. So my plan is to run off of a basemap until I can find a street tuner that can help me out.
You should get a phonebook there is hundreds of tuning shops in Cali but up in Seattle there is only 3 good ones
I’m glad you did you research on the turbo setup but come on to say you can’t find any tuning shops in San diego is crazy. I went down in the summer and cruised around and found a shopping center, there were three shops in that complex selling import parts and two of the shops had dynos.
haha well in san diego, that may be true. Lots of shops selling parts and dynos, but most if not all of them only do either baselines, or can only tune (v)AFC, hondata or aem ems. Usually they all can only tune an AFC. Performance EFI in san diego only does hondata and expensive EMS and a tuning session is 700 bucks which is wayyyy over my head. Now in LA and lil northern cali I have heard there are MANY tuners, but I prefer local over a 3-5hour drive each way.
check out homemadeturbo.com they might have someone that lives in SD that can tune xenocron’s ECU’s luckily for me there is a guy that can tune my car in Seattle.
