Finally got it together after 2 long agonizing days. It took a bunch of scracthes, lack of sleep while working, and a broken 255 walbro nipple. but im boosting. Ill post up pics in the morning when it is not raining.
seems like you’ve had a lot of trial and error shit. I know you’ve done your homework. 2 days on a project isn’t bad. I’m thinking my final transition won’t take more than a weekend.

-2.5 Custom IC Piping

-450cc blue top injectors
-PR3 ecu( chipped with BRE )

Put it on a about 2 days ago and really havnet enjoyed it. Its doing a bunch of bucking and poping b/c its not tuned yet But im going to try and street tune it the best I can tonight and tomm night. But when she does it its sweet. Full boost around vtec which is 5200rpms for me. I love it. Im sure once tuned im looking at at least a 300whp potential. Im only running 10psi.
I need to:
-tune it up
-sand and paint the hot pipe due to rust forming.
-fabricatae a dump tube.
after that im looking for a least 300whp

bump nice im also almost done with mine im tryin to piece together my piping from the intercooler to the turbo its a bitch and my manifold with the wastegate doesnt fit with the stock radiator so im looking how for one like urs. let me know how that xs poer turbo handles i heard alot of bad shit but im going to run one too t3 LS/vtec turbo 1993 gsr model

Also, Create a dump tube that goes down below your oilpan. You WILL see a large increase in power.

300 isnt pushing it… If you browse around honda-tech there are a handful of b16 and LS’s making whp in the 265-325 range. It all depends on the tune. This turbo is exactly what I wanted. Full boost at vtec. And yes im running an oil restrictor. It been proven that with the oil restrictor it help prevent the xs power T70’s turbo to blow seals. I talked to a cat that ran the T70 twice on 2 diffrent setups. Both setups where ran for a year before the guy moved on to anouther project. I tuned her up a little just a while ago. I need to let the laptop recharge for anouther hour or so. Night time is the best for street tunning. I have a set up slicks in the garage and LSD on the way. We will see If I can get her in the 12 sec range running the preastoric computer…OBD0 PR3. The one that most neglect to convert over to obd1.

With the compression of the stock b16 you really do need to focus on tuning hardcore. What wideband are you running? I assume that you are rocking turboedit. I have kind of lost faith in sticking with OBD0 since Parker decided to make it open source because he doesn’t have the time. OBD1 options seem to be where it’s at so that’s where I’m at.
Nice looking setup, I think that it’s an overkill for stock internals but it should be fun and will pull really hard all the way to your redline.

Turboedit is more for the ls b18b motors. I have faith in Honda motors. Ive been researching turbos and hondas for the last 2-3 years. Im not conserned with stock internals. I need the motor to last for a year and thats it. In a year it should be built. If tunned properly and conservative driving while going back and forth to work…it should hold up fine. Im going to continue the tuning in the morning. I plan on taking her to the dyno on Saturday. So be prepared for some vids and more pics.
I wouldnt mind converting to BRE to use Neptune but in the long run they all pretty much do what you need. Adjust the fuel and ignition…booom done.

I tuned her up some more today…The laptop dies every 45 minutes or so and takes about an hour in a half.
So I will tune a little more after wacthing LOST the 1st season with my gurl for the next hour or so.
Looks good. How cool is the thing staying with no fan? I have a 1250cfm fan on my half rad and it still gets kind of hot sitting.

yup no fan. It hasnt over heated yet. Im running no fan b/c im running a cooler thermostat. Im installing it tomm probably. I have everything tunned up for the most part. BRE isnt letting me richen up the around 0.00 vac. Im probably gonna have to copy and paste a few cells. And its running a little rich around 6000rpms up. I just need to get her on the dyno to have full controll over everything. I was out a few minutes ago trying to street tune her in the rain…Dangerous.

single core radiator on a turbo, with no fan, even with a cooler thermostat will still overheat if sat long enough, or if air flow is restricted…
why not just put a fan on? doesnt look like clearance is an issue.
dont forget, heat is one of the engine’s worst enemies…
I know where your coming from tegboi. I will put it on shortly but right now im having no heating issues. I will probably throw it on tomm with the front bumper. Right now I have the hot pipes off and painting them so the rust dont set in. I also welded a few short beads around the end of the pipes b/c I was having problems with them blowing off.
I will take pics with the bumper on tomm.
Nice setup! Just a susgestion, if you need that laptop to last longer, they have the car adapters for most laptops on ebay. I picked one up for my little omnibook and dont have to worry about power anymore.
And cool youre in Raliegh. If you dont mind, Id really like to see this in person. I am finishing up a turbo project of my own. Would love to see how you did the driver side piping and turbo fitment.
