thats kool…hit me up. I should be starting a buisness this year and I really could use a couple of turbo hondas around the area. Ill be making vids on a regular.
Sweet! Im in RTP most of the week but Raliegh isnt too bad of a drive from there. About 15 minutes id say.
Does your business involve “gasp” cars? I saw that you were doing your own street tuning. Are you planning on finishing it up on the dyno? Im feeling good about installing mine myself but im a little iffy on the tuning. Id also like to keep at least power steering on mine. The more I look at it though, I think A/C is as good as gone.
Again cool setup, cant wait for those numbers.
MantisX
yeah ive heard that the xspower ssac turbos are smaller in size. thats why some people are running the t70 cause its big to put down numbers but not to huge on a decent setup.
I plan to keep PS & AC and have a similar sized turbo (internal gated for now I guess). I was thinking a shitty flowing log manifold or to make me an elephant manifold.
Yes I’m familiar with BRE (Ben-Oogles Rom Editor) I think BRE works best with OBD0 datalogging. I’m gonna pimp me some OBD1, I just need to finish making conversion harnesses and I’m set.
Talk to me about your half radiator. Is that one of those like $35 ebay ones? I wanted to get one, but I have some really strong slim fans that I will rock. What was the top mounting point? What radiator hoses did you use? They say on the ebay ads that the upper radiator hose is different or some shit. I want your experience mang
White90: The downfall of running a civic half rad is the outlets on the rad are smaller then of a integra. So when clamping yuor rad hoses, make sure it’s nice and tight as the rad hose will be a smidge too big. You also should be able to just use your OE rad hoses as he outlet and inlets are roughly in the same place when it coems to the rad location. As for upper rad mount. You’ll prolly have to go with something custom as no factory bracket will be a direct bolt on without being finnicky at best.
You can just see the aluminum bracket I made on my car here:

Tchleung, you’re the man! Hit me up on aim sometime if you can; I would love to go over some stuff with you.
I see how you made a pretty simple bracket, I was wondering what to do. I guess I’ll get playful with a metal brake or weld something up. Now as far as the hose, my stock ones are in good condition but having the rad mount port smaller bothers me. Over tightening the top one doesn’t cut it for me - the radiator hoses expand during heat cycles and tend to bulge. That being said, they will most surely form a leak or a rupture at the point of contract that is stressed beyond intended limits. Fuck that, I shall get creative with a new solution I suppose. Maybe a custom piece of light gauge aluminum that will wrap around the outlet port between the rolled edge and the base of the radiator (JB Welded of course). I dunno, but I plan to order in the parts and get something going soon.
Thanks for the input guys.
Sorry to get off subject but Tchleung, are there any videos of that beast in action? It looks so sweet, I imagine it runs sweet too.

MantisX: I work at the airport so im probably 5 minutes from RTP. Hit me up sometime. The buisness thing is mostly video entertainment linked to a site I will build by the summer.
White90: The radiator im using comes of the newer civic like the Si(98 body). It works fine. Everyone keep telling me to put my fan back on but I havent seen it meet half way yet. When I was tunning it it got right below half way…but thats b/c I was tuning it in boost so I was running her.
here goes the braces:
I need some rims and front bumper or lip bad…a set of mugflaps would do too…lol
White90: Depending n the rad, you could just flare the outlets a ltitle bit if the rad has aluminum end tanks and outlets. Hard to say tho…
MantisX: Sry man, I don’ have any good vids uploaded. All my good videos are on DVD’s etc. The car runs 12.02 in the 1/4 on street tires spinning till the 1/8. I’m building a new setup and will run slicks this year. Should be able to grasp high 10’s
like I said before Tchleung is a baller.
meet07, what’s witht he antenna, you’r not listennig to the radio when you’re boosting are ya? Looks good tho
im not sure about the antenna. It was like that when I bought it. I cant remember if my old DA had a standing antenna…??? I dont care b/c I dont listen to much of the radio. I think tonight was the 1st since last Wednsday. Im getting ahold of my buddies laptop tomm to start tunning again.
I say meet07 and tchleung post vids lol. I love all boosted cars, but its something about the rarity of a boosted da that just makes it all the more cool. And holy crap spinning at the 1/8 point? Bawlin! Good luck on that new build, cant wait to see how it goes.

good thread
I should have vid by Saturday. Im cruising on Friday night. There is a hang out spot here in Raleigh…I tryed to fuck with a M3 on the beltline tonight for 5minutes. He didnt want to play. Then I ran accross a SRT-4 Neon…he pulled of to get gas…
Doesnt have to be a race. I just want to see a pull or even hear the turbo spool lol.

i hope that b16 holds out for u…a friend of mine had a tragedy in boosting his…btwn me and u make sure u tune it asap, matter fact leave it sitting if you can until you get it tuned and hopefully u can have a lasting b16:cross:
boost is tuned for the most part. It stays around 11.0-12.0. I think im going to redue partial throttle. It drives fine but im going to start all over. My gurl is going to help me. The graph has a couple of spots that overlap.
Looking good man. Do you smoke oil?
Like once vtec crosses over can you see a good amount of oil?
jw. I like the maifold. I looked on ebay but couldnt find it.
Any more information on it?
And Id wrap the downpipe in header wrap/ Looks nice. I wanna boost but I want my A/C.
thanks
Why would his car smoke once VTEC crosses over. If it did, that would mean the engine is in pretty rough shape
