b18c1 DA 1/4 mile times

all i am saying is that running 13s in a stock gsr motor in a 2500 pound car is harder than wat everyone else thinks. if it wasnt soo hard then why do people with stock gsr swaps in eg’s(weighing about 200 less at least than a DA or DC) run only about low 14s with bolt ons. if u can run 13s in a integra weighing 2500+ pounds wit a stock motor with only bolt ons i love to see that.

and yes i was talkin about u b18c

lol, man, i never said i was in the 13’s…i run a 14.9…With all my shit. and you got everything right except for my weight and you for got about my Chipped P61 and the tranny mods…

wat tranny mods do ya have? right now i am currently looking into (if i keep the DA) building a hybrid style type tranny. my trans is just too long(jdm y1 b16 tranny). 1st and 2nd gear feel great but acceleration top of 3rd and 4rth are just way too long. i raced a siRII b16 swapped del sol from a pull he would hitvtec quicker than me but once i hit vtec he wouldnt be able to pull  vtec engagement is identical and mods are similar w/ the exception he doesnt have a header but has a IM and i have a header but dont have a IM

Phantom Grip LSD, exedy 7lb flywheel, Exedy stage 2 clutch, B&M short shifter.

the b16 tranny has the shortest gear ratios from any tranny honda makes. The b16 tranny has the same gear ratios as the type-r tranny. The best thing for you would be to install a ats 4.929 final drive w/ their gear ratios or if that is too short just install the type-r 4.785 final drive into your b16 tranny.

i’m running a stock gsr tranny, an 8lb flywheel and a stock exedy replacement clutch. How is the phantom grip lsd?

its allright…

is the lsd really necessary? i need to do some work to my tranny (b16 tranny, 4th grinds now and then) and im wondering if i should just go with stock b16 internals, 4.929 final and PERHAPS lsd…? im just wondering if its worth the extra cash? my setup is a little more ummm in depth i guess (?) than yours?

thanks

joe

No the YS1 GSR has the shortest geared 4.4 Honda makes. I believe the 1st and 5th gear.

What year B16 tranny? IF it’s a cable, the only cable trannies that will allow the Hydro gear swaps are the YS1s.

Got to be careful with the Phantom Grips, they have a tendency to fail over time.

ya you are right…allmotorhonda.com - This website is for sale! - allmotorhonda Resources and Information.

he said he has a y1 b16 tranny, so it won’t work, I just noticed that.

are u sure u cant swap hydro gears into the cable housings? or even the final drive gear? my mechanic at the shop is pretty handy and there are numerous cars runnin 4.7 FDs around our area.
as far as building i was talking about a FD, cyro treated gears and hybrid mix and match the gearing specifically for all motor/ road race setups(nice and absurdly short)

only ys1 casings are compatible with hydro internal’s. j1/s1/a1 trannys will not work with hydro internals.

That is very true, But i have had mine for alittle over a year, and it still works fine. :cross:

An LSD, will help you off the line tremendously.

91integraDA- come out to fontana this weekend. I’d love to see your car in action. I"ll be there, and hopefully some other guys will show up too.

I’m getting a 14.6-14.8 et, but i have alot more than you do done to my car. if you can manage a mid 14 second run on a stock b18c. thats very good.

ya i’ll try to head out this weekend, but i might have to attend a funeral on saturday so i’m not sure yet. What do you have done to your car?

i have a 11.5 cr lsvtec hondata and all the bolt ons

maybe ill see you there
