Big Kev's DB1 Build

Gotta love the short geared YS1 haha. 4th gear in the normal YS1 is about 100rpm higher at 110km/h than 5th in the short geared unit.

Can’t believe you got rid of the first DB1. There’s a reason for everything though.

bought a used ebay intake for 20$ and added a k&n filter just because…
threw on my clear corners i had laying around and lowerd it jus a tad.

Big Kev, give BigBenSlay a call if you still got my number. I’m still in Atlanta and on my 5th DA9 project. Need some help.

Keep this car, Kevin.

dont have your number brother

:ok:

Next up Is to clean the Engine Bay .
My goal Is to do a wire tuck and hide the brake lines.

So far I removed the evap system and got rid of all the vacuum lines. Then tucked the clutch cable underneath the intake.
I still have to get a breather filter for the valve cover and plug the intake to be finished.
I did notice after the vacuum delete the throttle response is way better.

Clean DB! Love it. Is that a JDP lip or a rep?

looks like an oem lip to me

This lip. Page 9.

Jdp lip painted black.

Painted it black after the first repair? Lol man I have a JDM carbon hood on my EF and one day after about 2 months of having it on the car I forgot to latch my hood and it literally flew off of the car. Brand new gorgeous carbon fiber hood. Corner broke right off. But luckily I was able to repair it a couple months later. Looks like poop now tho.

Nice build. I wish I could done that to my Integra but my car got stolen.

Get at me before the weekend. BTW, hope that wire tuck goes well for you. Good start!

How does the FPR work with no vacuum source? I’d love to clean up behind my manifold but it seems like there is a lot more than just EVAP components back there.

I actually added the vacuum hose back on to the fpr after a couple of days of driving.I have the map sensor tuck underneath the manifold for now. As far as the other emission canisters and related hoses, u can relocate it so it wouldn’t be such an eye sore or just delete it like I did. If I were to keep this b18 and rebuild it I would probably get a newer style or aftermarket manifold.

that suks…

mounted a amplified antenna behind the glove box and plugged the hole.

Well finally back on my feet after 3 months. As of right now i’m still recovering from my foot and ankle fusion.I can walk for a short period of time and can’t put too much pressure on my foot but i’m getting around…

I started a mild wire tuck since the engine and other miscellaneous things are in the way.

I drilled a nice size hole and ran the harness right through and taped it. Only thing I have to do is extend the 2 wires for the fog light. And the headlights harness is a tad short but a Hid system should take care of the issue.

mocked up and used the old clips to hold it in place. [IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:“none”,“data-size”:“custom”,“src”:“https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4331/36691599560_ce86c2c892_o.jpg”}[/IMG2]

the engine harness cannon plugs, brake level sensor wires and will be tucked underneath the brake booster when I pull the engine. I have fat hands so for now this will do. If you notice I put all the related emissions solenoids and hoses back on so I can go do my final emission testing.
