I just want mounts that work. I dont see the point in having something all shiny and flashy. Its a mount. Its not like its something thats super visible and needs to look like greddy or some big company makes it. My personal opinion of course.
I would like for the mount to be non damaging to my hatch though. The slip on ones mentioned earlier look like they would eat through the paint and into the hatch over time just from the super minute movement it will have. For anyone tnat has a sunroof visor, they would know what im talking about. I also dont mind having to drill holes. I dont plan on removing the wing once its installed at all so a mod like that doesn’t bother me. Also, its not like it would be a big deal to get the holes patched and painted.
words words words I just a mounting solution
love you guys
Personally, I would like function/reasonable cost over fashion. Shiny brackets aren’t important if the wing goes loose or scratches the trunk :). I have my GS wing on still so I’m gonna have some holes. In a perfect world, I assume I could fiberglass/epoxy some studs to match the old wing and bolt it on. I’m thinking chances are slim so I’ll have to sort that out. Thanks for taking this on Colin, you will be the Hiro bracket expert by the end of this!
I would like to see a bracket with the most value and functionality also, but don’t mind paying for a revised updated version.

I met with my friend and am borrowing his brackets to test and maybe copy, learning more about the way these mount and it’s now clear that I need to see the wings since the way JDP builds them could affect things greatly. I’ll elaborate when I know more.
I’m getting the first version of this wing soon… so I may post pics of the brackets if u guys want!
Post pics of everything! Lol
Oh so Craig decided to selling his wing to you huh ?
…
Update from JDP “Just finished two spoilers…waiting on boxes to arrive. Attached are finishing pictures of the spoiler.”
Oh so Craig decided to selling his wing to you huh ?
…
Yes he did, I was over at his house Saturday. we had a quick convo about u
i would like to see if the weaves are the same on both 1st and 2nd batches of those wings from jdp.
not sure about weaves, but I heard its a bit shaped differently…
It aaaaalmost looks like the new wing retains the proper angles that you, Mike an I were all talking about, wingbox… Hmmmm.
you mean this??
TOP: Second gen Hiro rep
Buttom: First gen Hiro rep?
um no
actually this picture was made by my buddy dirtydanz.
The top features the 1st batch of jdp cf hiro rep
the bottom features the PANCAKE Hiro rep.
As you can see, The jdp hiro reps are more straight on the sides, and the authentic/pancake wings have a more slanted angled sides. See?
That is one way to determine if you have a pancake or Jdp wing.
Also the JDP wing sits a lil bit higher from the trunk than the pancake.
Dont really like the “box” look the jdp wings give.
i cant see from the pictures reallly, but once he mounts them, or colin mounts them, we can compare them to the 1st batch of jdp wings and pancake wings.
winbox… I’m confused which one does Craig have then??? I thought it was the PANCAKE rep he’s got
pancake replica did not come in carbon fiber finish.
Craig has a carbon fiber JDP wing. 1st gen.
ahh ic ic… any difference between the 1st n 2nd gen?? I guess u guys don’t have them yet?
