It all maters what makes you happy brother. If spending it on the family does that for you, then Do it up
Atleast we had good times while working on it! Glad to hear your atleast keeping the shell. one day well get her running again ;)
Thanks man! Dude I had a blast working on the car and there will be more to come. I just need to step away from it for a bit. I wonât sell the GSR, I do really like the car believe it or not lol. Just started thinking of what else I could have done with the cash and it went downhill from there. I did make a partout thread (selling non essentials) but didnt post at the last minute. I would regret it I think.
Haha word up man, I was just feeling a bit sorry for myself and a bit frustrated after we did all this work and what is keeping me is this BS engine I bought from someone else and inheritied his problem. WOuld not have been an issue but I stressed to him I needed a âneed nothingâ engine. Lesson learned, I will only be buying from Hmotors from now on.
Damn, sorry to hear that you had such a hard time with that motor⌠It definitely gets tiresome pulling stuff multiple times etc etcâŚ
Give it some time, youâll be back at it ;)
Thanks and yeah it got real old. Pulling it then installing it then firing it up to see an oil puddle, pulling it and installing it to see it again is getting to be a downer after all the excitement. My wife thinks I just use it as an excuse to work on the car lol. Really though she feels bad xD
No need to get butthurt it was a jokeâŚmy apologies
As for Carl whats with a leak stopping youâŚEveryone has problems I must have stayed under my car for about 3 weeks fixing leaks after start upâŚI say source a cheap B20 block and buy a new headgasket and we will swap everything overâŚshit you bring the block, new headgasket, Hondabond, new bearings, upgrade to ARP rod bolts and old motor up and Iâll do it in my garage you should be able to rev it to 8,500 especially if you sourced a good deal on rods you wouldânt have to worry about the bottom end. If you cant do it this summer shoot for next summer!
Thanks man! Iâm thinking about it, but I can;t fathom spending another few hundred on this motor though it is tempting. I have a OEM GSR girdle for it as well, but canât do a rebuild on it as its too costly. I think Iâm going to order some Devcon and see if that will fix er up. Its really the last shot I will give the motor and then i will part it out as I doubt anyone wants a cracked block.
