It sounds like the guy is going to make right on the situation, so we shall see!

Ok updates! We pulled the b16 block apart and that thing is beautiful! I just got receipts from the previous owners totalling $5200 for the b16, including original purchase and full build at TC performance. Very low mileage.

Everything has been dropped off at the shop. Rods have already been checked and they are good within OE spec. Only problem is the machinist will not build the engine with used pistons. So I am debating on ordering brand new pistons and selling the 3 good ones I have, or ordering one piston and building it ourselves.

Also talked with the original owner of the head (slowredcivic) and he purchased off a Full-Race employee in Arizona. The rumor is it is a full race worked head…doesn’t matter as its dropped off at the shop and will be checked as if it is a quality job or some guy with a dremel. LMA are brand new condition as well.

Getting new tires mounted on the Souls tomorrow, and I should be paid in full for thos Basics within the week. So I will be ordering all suspension components soon, getting the engine done, and then run out of money with no tuning option or boost :frowning: . My car will not be done this year.

Thanks! I have always wanted one since my highschool days in 98 lol.

No problems man! We missed you but did alright lol.

Haha I may be needing to come up and sell some stuff so I can grab that bumper for you. OR…I could not and use it as leverage for you to come down here! And no issues man we are all busy.

Curtis’ build is fantastic, as well as the way he throws out his opinion lololol. You should meet him you guys would get along fabulousley!

I did get in contact with both sellers. Regardless they are going to do something about it. Kapu may be buying it back from me, and I would be willing to split the cash in half with the guy I bought it from.

Or I may have a stock LS bottom end for sale with CTR pistons…

Pics up of beautifully finished zero mile worked engine soon!

-Ohhh, Full-Race head huh. That’d be pretty sweet if it were!
-What did the machinist say about that nick in the bore where the piston fubar’d. If all is well, I say just order that single piston, have the shop do the refreshing, and we can slap that baby back together ourselves!
-What all suspension stuffz are going to get?

Yeah for sure. We will see on the head!

THe machinest needs to look at the block, he is not for sure if we can hone it or bore it. If its a bore the next step is 82mm, can I even get away with that? He qalso raised concern about the block gaurd and whether it was bored before or after installation. He will be checking that as well.

And I would love to assemble it ourselves I am thinking about going that route. With you guys around my confidence on tackling such a project is high.

And yeah thats what I am thinking as well. THough…
109 for one new pitson assembly.
120 for new ringset.
Thats about 250 shipped for one piston and new rings.
A new set is around 450. 200 more for new pistons and wristpins. If I sell the 3 good ones I have for 150 or so…

Suspension is just those basics from Glynn, a ES master kit, and rear RTAs. Prolly lower balljoints as well, along with inner and outer tie rod ends. And new bushings for the crossmember radius arms. Wish I could do more in the suspension arena but that is it. I am probably going to reuse the Ingall knockoff front kit, works well enough and has held its setting just fine

i wish mine was aztec green

I tried to trade him one of my red db2s for his azgreen but noooo.

I would tho trade 2 reds for a black. lol
