My setup aint that cool, but it does its job, and its getting there. Its come a LONG way from 4x cracked eBay mani and Nissan turbo. :slight_smile:

My build is not all that cool, but I have learned a lot, and I love every change its made.

Anyways, you guys should all swing by soon. And I agree with almost everything youve said Carl. I think you SHOULD build it yourself. I think its good experience, and the gratification that comes from something working, and you knowing you did it, is just an unspeakable accomplished feeling.

But on the piston note, I forget that rings are 100 bucks. Shit, I had to overnight mine. :frowning: So you have a very logical and valid point. If you have the extra 200, go for it. But if you are tight on money, like the rest of us, the used 3 will be JUST fine. Hell, I have a full set of used SRPs in my block. They have done just fine, and I am going to trust them to hold a LOT more.

I never saw the 4th piston though… How bad is the damage? And how bad is the cylinder? Have the machine shop check how much piston to wall clearance you have, and will have after getting that nick out. You want a lot more clearance than OEM when applying as much pressure as you will. :slight_smile: So just something to keep in mind.

Teggyguy I fixed it. Post the rest man! Ima go and get pics when Brian wakes up. Then I am going to refinish my OEM Honda roof rack and see how much someone wants to pay me for it.

And regarding the aztec Green thing the DB2 I test drove (and the car that made me love DA) was red. I have a thing for red cars, but I can’t trade the aztec green. In my half daze when I was looking at her yesterday through the open garage I fell in love with the green all over again.

I am actually anxious to get the trans off and see how the fidanza and comp clutch stg4 held for 10-15k miles. And then Mr. B17 gets prepped and sent of to slumber. Hey I can scratch one to do off my list!

Just an observation: Is it really a good idea to hoist an engine/transmission assembly with nylon cargo straps?

In construction amongst other things I have seen 4000 lbs steel girders and I-beams lifted with nylon straps all the time. And at a woodyard I worked at bunks were lifted with nylon straps.

If we had chains though we would have used them.

Bump for my crappy thread.

Don’t have pics but I picked up a few things…

ES master bushing kit.

OEM FD2 Type R shift collar

Extra DB2 engine harness, I am thinking about going balls deep with the tuck and atleast I have harness I can hack with impunity.

Got everything I need for the ABS delete from MGSG or something like that. The ABS guy on the FS threads lol.

That retarded JDM oem DA vtec hatch decal

Some OEM bumper plugs. I have been wanting these for years!

New OEM driver and passenger motor mounts.

And that is it. My machinist is taking his sweet ass time.

Also, Nick (the guy that traded me for my turbo kit) is starting to get flaky on me. I am wondering if he is going to make good on the block now. Before I was certain, now I am not so sure.

Anyone want a stock LS bottom with CTR pistons? I won’t guarantee shit on the motor as well. Buy with confidence!

If I didn’t piss off Rabi and Ferris with being a shitty seller, the money I get from the deal goes straight into Tein Basics from Glynn. So hopefully I should have those before school gets out and I start the summer semester.

Oh…and my wife was driving the Si. Got rear ended pretty fucking hard. She is OK though a little shaken up.

Anyone have a rear Eg hatch bumper in black locally?

Actually I looked again and the hatch is also fuxored. And the inner taillights. Muffler fell off as well, though I think age may have had a role. Usually my wife would have had the kids, I had them thankfully so the kids weren’t involved.

And now that I know my wife is fine I can say…Thank goodness it wasn’t the wagovan I would have been even more pissed. I love that damn car. Its so ugly its charming.

Haha thanks man! I was really hoping to post a pic of some Giant box of OEM stuff, but I am holding off on ordering that.

Well Nick hit me up and let me know he is going to make good on it. Lol I was starting to worry.

Yeah, we already contacted his insurance should be getting a rental. Sucks, I liked that little Si even ordered a ITR knob for it cause of the price. Rear unibody is crushed in. I am thinking they are just going to total it out.

And…I started work on the teg. Got some stuff done, went to work on the ABS and need a line wrench so we worked on Wagovan instead. Not much, but I did swap out for 88-89 amber bumoer signals, got some newer corner lights, and got that lip mounted. Thanks again for the lip Rabi!
