My wife is Ok. She had whiplash though :frowning: SHe is fine now. I took her to the finest hospitol (and most expensive), all at the expense of this guy who knows no honor.

ABout that.

As far as the story, guy in an MDX hits my stopped wife at a stoplight at 25mph. GUy begs my wife not call the cops. My wife agrees.

Well, guy who plowed into my wife lied and said it was her fault. That she was on a hill and rolled into him. We fought. We got pics. We demanded an insurance guy to come out and look at the car. I got hung up on 3 times for being angry. Yeah, I was VERY angry that my wife got hurt, and this bastard is lying his ass off. Angry enough that I started getting bloodlust about fukcing this guy up or his property. Get him scared enough for his life that he realizes the error of his ways. Make him look over his shoulder. Perhaps fear for his well being.

Well, I get a call TODAY while on break from school. State Farm is now really apologetic, between the photos of the location, damage, stories, his conflicting story between what he told insurance and his police report (fucking dumbass), they call to let us know they are sorry and their client has been caught lying. FUnny, earlier they said I have to call MY insurane since my wife was at fault. I guess for rolling BACKWARD into him hard enough to cause ythe unibody to be damaged.

Soooo, I am usually an easy going guy, but I will press any charges I can AND see what the CSPD will do, perhaps colorful things like ā€˜impeding a police investigationā€™ or ā€˜Lying on an official police reportā€™ or ā€˜insurance fraudā€™. THings like that. Because more than anything, I really want to fuck his world up. Like he tried to do to mine to save his ass, after injuring my innocent, and naively forgiving wife. Its shit like this that make people not want to help, or even be nice for that matter. Cause after this, if I donā€™t know them then fuck them, cuase ythey will try to fuck my family or I over in the long run.

Anyways, its all settled up. My wife is OK and fine. And justice will be served. What little faith I had in the system has been shaken though. BUt they recovered nicely. However, they shouldnā€™t have been so quick to deduce it was our fault, even after hearing our side wrote it off as bullshit.

damn dude that sucks. glad sheā€™s OK at least though.

lots of people been trying to fuck with me lately too - that shit gets old. if youā€™re gonna press charges though, just keep in mind how much more youā€™re gonna have to deal with this. sure you might be able to fuck with him, but itā€™s gonna take lots of your time and energy and youā€™ll be thinking of it all the time. I say give him a big fuck you, have a few beers, be thankful your family is OK, then have a few more beers and move on. douchebags like that have a way of diggin their own graves.

one piece of advice though - neck injuries can be pretty significant and take a while to fully surface. Iā€™d wait as long as you can to take the insurance claim (6 months) and see how it is then. i got rocked in a high speed rollover 4-5 years ago and my neck still bothers me sometimes. in hindsight i wish i woulda held out for more from the insurance company cause itā€™s a pain in the ass, er neck, sometimes.

ohā€¦and nice 420 license plates haha

FOr sure man. I will defentely take your advice on holding out as long as possible. SHe also had her brother in the car, he got whiplash pretty bad as well.

ANdā€¦when I am pissed I talk alot of shit haha. In hindsight, I do not think I can press any charges, but I know insurance and the cops can. SO I will leave that in their boat. Whatever they want to do, as long as we are taken care of I will wash my hands of it. I still have his addy thoughā€¦sometimes I wish I were a juvinile and did petty shit.

THanks for the response!

Haha for sure when my wife brought those home I was so darn happy! ANd everywhere I post on the internets I cannot hide the 420 plates cause they are so damn awesome. Only thing I wish I could change is the ā€˜Jā€™ to a ā€˜Kā€™. 420 Toke! lol

Ok, just put some work into the teg after many monthes of neglect (hey its camping and fishing season), time for some minor updates.

We got the entire suspension pulled. Going to be bringing it to some certain fellas in Denver and get the old bushings pressed out and new ones in. RTA bushings are fantastic, not only do they talk to you but are completely shot. Same with all the other bushings.

Steering rack is pulled.

Brake lines are out of the engine compartment.

Dash is pulled, along with a bunch of the interior.

Bought some 3M underbody coating after I read an article in Mopar magazine about the stuff. Hey, its good shitting material.

I played with all my balljoints and tie rods. They all need replaced.

And ummm, thats it besides adding new scribbles and drawings to the dust on the glass.

Cool build manā€¦ Whats the ETA you have to be expecting it back on the road? Moar pix y0!!!

Haha I honestly have no clue. I do want to have a rolling shell by the end of the year though.

Mainly I donā€™t know exactly what is going on in my life, getting classes done and need to start a career asap. Which more than likely is leading me to the Navy. So should that happen I need to get the car stored for 4 years.

I just know in the meantime I want to get as much work doen as possible. If by Xmas I can have her rolling with all new bushings, new tie rods, balljoints, stainless brake lines (though of legend calipers/biggewr brakes but cash is an issue, just suspension right now) suspension in and tuck done I will be happy.

Iw ill get some pics next time I go to the garage of its current state. Thanks for the compliment!

Holla at your boy! That press is waiting for some bushing love man. Iā€™m outta town in the land of the French/Americans :), but Iā€™ll definitely give ya a call as soon as I get back

Did some one say its time to get to work:corn:

Holla!

Yes, though when I called that person had something else to do and could not be convinced otherwise :stuck_out_tongue:

I am going to go get current pics now, then start cleaning the 220k miles of crud in the bay.

Goals tonight are to remove the carpet and get some stuff clean.

A few questions if anyone is even lookiung at this anymore lol.

1: Can I remove the engine bay subframe without any adverse effects? Meaning does it have to be realigned?

2: My brake booster is full of gunk. Is it safe to clean with solvents? Same with the master cylinder. I need to clean those.

3: How do you remove the door sill plates without breaking them? It really is the main reason the carpet isnā€™t removed yet, everytime I start I am faced with those and the memories of the others I broke each time I tried to remove them on other DAā€™s.

thanks!

  1. Since your taking things off your gonna want an alignment when all said and done period.

2.I cleaned mine with my parts washer and no prob. Get some brak/parts cleaner and get to it.

  1. They make these flat tools almost like a putty knife but at the end its split like a ā€œyā€. Slide it under and pop it braking nothing. If you need to use it feel free.
    Get this thing moving!

  1. As far as the sub-frame specifically having to be aligned, no you just bolt it right up.
  2. Clean it down, sand/paint if youā€™d like! I used some flat black engine paint for mine:
Also can see the difference in size between ABS and Non-ABS can be seen

  3. You can get them out, but they do take some effort/being careful

Thanks Ted and Agazzi! I got the door silles out, need that tool sirtef mentioned and yank from the inside! Awesome on the booster, should be out soon! And do I want the ABS or NON ABS booster? Lol we need to talk again Agazzi! You should start a consulting business lol. Thanks for the info, subframe will be coming out for paint then.

Also, talked to Pang and he can get AGP powder coat. So Iā€™m going to get the spoogen VC powdered that way, maybe another one though I want a red ITR one as well. Ricer!

Alright, finally some updates.

Most of the little lines are gone, about ready to start pulling it all through the firewall.

I have also decided to paint the car, it NEEDS it at this point at least in the bay. After suspension I will be ordering paint next.

Can this be ground down and refilled if necessary?

Interior progress, car pet should be pulled but I got lazy and didnā€™t feel like pulling the 2 metal brackets.

And the suspension is out, I already have most parts waiting to go on this one.

ANd all the power steering lines yanked.

ANd a parting shot.

So, my next goals is to get the carpet yanked, and start pulling all the shit through the firewall. Basically get the engine bay completely bare.

Lol my car has been down almost a year, I started the build thread 6 months into parking her. But its all good, Iā€™m a slacker too :stuck_out_tongue:

I believe I am keeping her AGP. I like gunmetal and EBP, but I really like this color and think I would regret it if I changed colors.

 Yes maā€™am!
