Carlitos' SoCo build thread

What time are you heading up tomorrow? I’m in Albuquerque right now, but we’re leaving in the morning, so we should be in the hood hopefully by 4ish

just looking at this thread glad to see you guys are helping him with his build…i wish i had someone helping me with mine…glad to see a db2 coming back to life…

Thanks a bunch, that means a lot coming from you! Your build thread is almost a blue print to what I want to do minus the brake stuff cause it is beyond my skills lol.

And I am surely lucky to have all this help on mine. Otherewise the first post of the build thread would have been it, slapped it together, put on a new vtec solenoid gasket, exhaust alarm and call it a day.

Hell yeah! I play 1.7 for sure just checked!

Ahh I almost made it but my children and wife are sick. Of course second grade started last week and she brings something home with her. So I just be kickin it at home tooday. Luckily I don’t get sick, cause I never take any medicine, so my immune system doesn’t need outside help to lay down some whoop ass on illness. xD

Have a safe trip buddy!

Phew I am tired. Agaazi, Glynn, Brian and myself worked on the car from 10PM last night until 4AM, woke up drank some beer and got down again from 10AM until 6PM. I have to say with the magic of Glynn and Agazzi we got some work done! THe car tuck is almost finished, just needs some tidying up, looming and sheathing. Brian and I are going to try and get the motor on the stand tomorrow, get the engine harness ready to go.

Thanks again guys for all your hard work and good times. I am going to have this loomed up and secured before the weekend and then start on the engine harness.

Start!

Before and after on headlight wiring.
This one amused Agazzi. No fukin clue!

I got some cool shots of Glynn and Agazzi but I don’t klnow if they want me to post em up lol.

Good times, good times. I pm’d ya the rest of the pictures on HAI too. We’ll definitely have to plan another day here in a bit, I know Curtis wanted to come down too. And I don’t care if you post those pics, lol

LOL good times indeed.

well try and find some time in the next couple of weeks to finnish it up.

You guys are f-ing crazy. You will never see me at Carl’s house lol. I am totally not going to get sucked up into this wiring fun-ness. As much as I do like hanging out with you guys. Totally not happening :dunno::wtf:

 all the messy shit is done now:dance:

Hell yes! Brian got a keg o fat tire as well…

Tried to get work done last night, mostly worked the keg though. Sorry guys. Progress shall be made tonight! I like to take care of the little bullshit so you don’t have to waste your time on it

i will get those pics up you sent me, sorry I am slackin!

[QUOTE=BLKACK1;2169191]LOL good times indeed.

It will be finished soon. Going to get everything done but the bay, so I getthe boost, pressure, temp guages in when I can afford them.

Hopefully next time you guys come down it will be more chill, since most work is done.

Haha, with these guys it was easy as pie. Glynn asked me if I lost any sleep when we did it, ie if I was worried about everything working when we were done. Hell no! Not with the skilled hands working on it! And if we do get it together and nothing works, well, looks like more good times lol. That won’t happen though.

Yup! You guys wouldn’t leave me with anything I couldn’t handle! Meaning ALL the hard shit is done, and most importantluy is somewhere through the process, somehow, I gained a little bit of understanding lol.

Good job guys!

Time to dust off this thread!

Haven’t really done any work on the car, but since school is over I plan to have a rolling shell before next semester! I have been collecting parts for awhile, some for years. I have nearly everything needed for the suspension, and with Agaazi and Glynn’s help have got the old bushings pressed out and new ones in. Thanks again guys, this car wouldn’t be anywhere without you guys!

SO this will mostly be a parts post. But I am very excited, had to share! Finally got some tires for the souls after all these years. I also have some ST front and rear sway bars and other misc crap. Hopefully I will be updating soon actually installing all this crap.

Pics

Bunch of OEM hardware to finish the tuck, some misc crap

Hard to find OEM optional bumper plugs, 3 sets xD

And some random car parts pics

I have some other stuff but have parts scattered over 3 locations and only got to two of them today lol.

I am about to change my blown B18 with a B20 and I would love to do a wire tuck but I have absolutely no idea where to start. Lookin good man.

I’m so jealous of all those parts. I can’t imagine how much the price tag was for all those dealership parts. I don’t think I want to either… Most of the time getting the parts is the slow part of the project so lets see some installed shots of all those goodies. Good luck man!

the favorite part of my build was seeing that huge pile of parts in my garage shrink and shrink as i put everything together. Good job on the build man!

Looking good carl! Sorry I missed you the other night :[. Glad everything is going very well. You get that butt working on it! I wanna see it!

you can try this

Looking good buddy, we should try to put some work in on the tuck after xmas;)

ES Master bushing Kit what king of press do i need?? thanx…

OEM Bumper Plugs FTW!!!

Agreed with the others, that pile of brand-new OEM parts must have cost a pretty penny, but most definitely are worth it! Nice to see this build progressing (slowly but surely :P)

Good stuff man. Cant wait to see the finished product.
