Carlitos' SoCo build thread

Did glynn have anything to do with those oem parts…lol

Any hints on where to find the bumper plugs? If I can’t find them I’ll have to revert to using body filler :frowning:

he got them from the dealership, if your local one cant get them try Ryan at OEMacurapart.com. im sure he can source you some1

Hello, sorry I forgot about this thread. Things got crazy with finals, kids, work, and life then bam Xmas. lol

Thank you for the compliment! The best place to start for a wire tuck would be BLACKACK1’s well-crafted wire tuck thread.

Thank you! Some of the prices weren’t that bad. The lower shift change rod was only $36, and people are shipping them out to get the U-joint serviced. At that price I will buy a new bar when the joint goes out. Collectively though, it added up quick!

Thanks! I get mixed feelings though, as a big box of those little red and white bags makes me all warm inside and soon I will have none. Lol

haha thank you Mini! We will definently hang out soon, if worse comes to worse I will be at the next track meet, hopefully in my teg! And we got some work done too :stuck_out_tongue:
OEM Bumper Plugs FTW!!!
Agreed with the others, that pile of brand-new OEM parts must have cost a pretty penny, but most definitely are worth it! Nice to see this build progressing (slowly but surely :P)
Good stuff man. Cant wait to see the finished product.
Thanks! Yeah, I am hoping to not have anymore suspension issues once this is all done, save for axlework. Thank you very much for the compliments!

Why hullo there old thread.

We (BlackAck1 and mrpenny, I can’t thank these 2 enough they have been involved in EVERY step and then some) got some more work done! We put a good 3 days of work in since last update, though afterwards it doesn’t look like much. It was though, just meticulous and labor intensive work.

So a short update:

Steering rack is has been opened up and the valves and springs have been taken out. She got cleaned and degreased as well as new bushings all around. The rack was cleaned, and newly greased. New Rack boots and inner tie-rod ends have been installed.

The brake booster, sub frame, crossmember, and radius rods were degreased, all the rust was sanded out, then primed and painted. Installed a new OEM rear mount as well.

Cab wiring in nearly finished. As soon as the booster is done and cured, that will go in along with the pedal assembly. Also, Glynn cleaned all the ductwork, Agazzi installed all new foam sealant, and the AC delete is finished. Thanks guys for all your work in there!

And the wiring for the engine harness has been all mrpenny. That is more than on its way to being done, next time!

Lastly, as soon as the booster is in (that damn booster is holding everything up) we can finish with the ABS delete.

Thanks so much for your hard work guys! You guys practically have a stake in the car.

I guess that’s it for now.

Blackack’s work

Mrpenny’s Work

Wow, they actually stay up on their own!

Should be enough to finish the tuck

Found these at the junkyard, my teg will make good use of these.

Word

Thanks for the pics Glynn!

Since class starts on the 24th, I will try to get one more good work day and then that may be it until Spring break. But I will be getting the RTA’s and ball joints in before that, hell maybe even the suspension done. I have everything ( and not one piece is original or reuntouched). I guess I can draw up a list lol.

Tein Basic Coilovers with hard pillowball mounts
Suspension Techniques front and rear sway bars with ES mounts and endlinks
ES master kit
Ingalls Front Camber kit
SPC rear camber kit
new Noltec RTA bushings
new OEM balljoints
new OEM inner and outer tie rod ends
new OEM Toe Compensator arms
And a reworked steering rack.

So I am still slow, but the twisties should be sorta fun. With suspension all done 2011 may be the year I finally boost! Of course I need to actually get the suspension ‘done’ xD.

:gtfo: your cars gonna be pretty awesome when its done…i guess

Looking good buddy! Damn you for finding those SPC arms!! That’s quite a good pick up. Let me know when you want to come up here and install those TA bushings. School is just Tues/Thurs for me

Thanks…I guess xD. It will be OK, still slow with old paint but enough for me to fall in love with the car all over again I hope. But I have had a great time working on it!

I know it looks good, you guys worked on it! :stuck_out_tongue: Thanks for the offer I greatly appreciate it! I will take you up on that xD! I hope you are liking school this semester. School is M/W/F for me, though Friday is only 10am to 1pm so the day is still fresh when I get out.

Yeah those SPC arms were quite the score. Coolest thing I have found in the yards to date. The same yard also has a 91 DA about to drop, I already looked it over. Not a non A/C car though :frowning: Car is in immaculate shape, no rust all black with black and tan interior. Wants 2500 for the whole car though.

Looking good buddy, that a good junk yard score. Im kinda jelous but ill tell you what. just buy that car and give the interior out of it and well just call it even, K

Roger!

Thanks man! Do you want those GSR seats that I have currently? The car this came off was a 97 DC Integra.

Hahahaha, that shit is great!

How did you find 3 sets of bumper plugs? I thought they were gone.

I pilfered this from the wife, fitting that it is ricer pink.

And finished product. I didn’t clean it all yet, just wanted to see it all together.
