How do you remove the 2 (I think they are called the map lights) map light covers that are right above your head?? I cant seem to be able to take them off.
oL_sKooL_inTeG what type of led bulb did you get from there? Mine gauges are not that bright at all. I got mine @ superbrightleds.com. Its a lil brighter than this pic but when you drive in lighted areas it sucks.
do you have your brightness turned up?
yea thats at full bright
^ are u sure all the bulbs are on the right way ?
just did mine yesterday. all the bulbs are white but give off a hint of blue.
looks nice, how long did it take?
too long lol. pretty tedious. had to disconnect the speedo cable to get enough slack. I did the a/t cold weather fix at the same time so it was like 3 hrs or so.
What kind of bulbs did you use and where did you get them from? I’m guessing you took the blue plastic on the top of the cluster off.
I had white ones at first and they were dark and blurple-ish. Then I switched to red with white on the top of the cluster (with the blue plastic plate thing still). It’s a little better, but I still want them to be brighter.
i got my leds from superbrightleds.com
WLED 1-LED bulb - thats the 194, you need 2
T1.5 Instrument LED bulb - you need 2 of these as well
74 Wedge Base LED bulb - you need 5 of these
i didnt do anything to the light bar thing up top. im guessing thats why its kinda blue since the film there is blueish? Just make sure all of your bulbs are in the right way so it all lights up. the ones from superbrightleds are polarized so that helps.
Like you said LiThiuM they are polarized so i made sure they were on the right way. Maybe cause the red leds suck there i dont know.
can any1 help?
I know someone has done this but where do you get your LED bulbs? What fits the light for our G2’s? Not no Gauge shit but the Interior light… I want some more light output if possible… thanks guys… i have no time to search or anything but yeah if there is a place i can just go and pick it up… then right on!
Oh I see so therefore we shall cater to your every whim. Cause you know we have the time. I garautee you spent more time posting then the amount of time it would have taken to fucking search.
ON THE FIRST PAGE OF THIS FUCKING THREAD!
ON that site it has a link to sylvania.com where you can find out the bulb size for your car.
And even if i went through Google, It took me like 2 seconds to find this.
Keep in mind as far as pure light output, LED’s put out less then incandescent. So unless you get a bulb with a ton of LED’s it will probably be dimmer then what you have now.
You should look into rewiring your map lights to come on with your courtesy light.
[QUOTE=oL_sKooL_inTeG;1760040]Just did changed over the bulbs to light up red. I ordered everything from http://superlumination.com different amount of bulbs compared to the OP. For the guage cluster I ordered; 2 194s, 3 24’s, and 2 74s. For the climate control 2 74’s was needed, 1 74 for the fan speed/temp, 1 74 for cigarette lighter, and 1 74 for ash tray.
I read a post that said the radio light was 74, but its not. It is actually a neo wedge type b or type c bulb. Also the bulbs for the hazard button, defrost, cruise etc is neo wedge type a bulbs (7 is needed). I have these installed, and they aren’t really bright at all.

yo man that looks sick, i wish my car looked like that, but im scared to take all my shit apart, knowing i will probly fuck up, btw how much time did u spend doing this?
Btw anyone from vancouver bc canada want to show me their LED swap?
^ as in you want to see it in person ?
^yes =D i want to see it in person/ get some feed back
I got 2 194 Superstar Bulbs With Metal Heat Sink, 5 3LED 74s, and 2 Regular LED 74s, 2 Wide Angle 24s
I changed the speedo cable, and also fix the push buttons climate controls while I was changing the bulbs over. I would say it took about 7 hours total to finish everything.
The only things you have to worry about breaking are the coin tray and the gauge brezel. Just be patient with those pieces and you should be fine.
If you’re wanting to just use stock bulbs from Honda, they seem to be cheaper than aftermarket LED’s…
