Couple Years Missing Back in Action NOW!!!

WOW…How do you get the ends of the pipes to fit together so well? Are those runners pretty close to equal length? They look like they are.

3 runners are pretty close to the same but #1 is shorter than all of them just due to how much room i had cause i wanted to make sure there was ample room everywhere so ididnt have the problems i had with my first set up. fittment is very important to a manifold lasting and when welded there is no need for fill rod when purged. I also have the turbo fully supported so there is absolutly no weight on the manifold to cause any stress fracturing. i am going to weld it all tomorrow night and hopfully if all goes well with my space and shape of manifold i shouldnt have to wrap or heat coat it and it can just look like a raw stainless steel header. I am probably getting rid of my carbon fiber hood in favor of a stock one so i can modify it for hood louvers and vents for the heat. but that for now i have not fully decided yet… Thanks again for the props guys i am trying to build something unique for you guys and myself …

Awsome :werd::):rockon:

You’re doing a very good job of making a unique teg so far. I wish I has some skills so I could make some IC pipes.

Finally something a bit different. I’m loving it! :rockon:

So after many nights not working on my car tonight i got to it again and mounted my waste gate and welded my collector and turbo flange fully. All i have to do is drill for individual EGTs and weld the runners completely. And i installed my bumper just to see what my car looks like again haha…

How do you bolt that down?

sorry dont understand the question

The pipes look close to the head, just curious how much room you have to mount it.

There is about an inch to the head or valve cover. Everything else i have optimized my space for heat shields and overall area that keeps direct heat to a minimum. Its coming along good now and hopefully this weekend i will have the manifold and exhaust done…

Finished welding the runners tonight with individual egt bungs and got my waste gate mount all figured out. Basically i need to plumb the wastegate outlet and run a dump along side the downpipe and well the rest should be pretty simple hahahah…

you are ridiculous!

v-band ftw

nice mani also

looks like a good build! :read:

well its been a while yet again and i guess seeing other talented guys building their cars at this same time i am really getting more motivated to get my car done… so last weekend i installed my new JIC Fla 2 Type R coilovers, along with new rear wheel berrings and the super extendo wheel studs. Last night i managed to mock up my intercooler tanks and figured out how to build the drivers side (tricky side) and got the vision of where the ic pipes are going now. I am going to attempt to have all the intercooler and pipes done by this weekend and then on to all the small things like my new wire tuck and basically rewire my AEM again with the addition of my new pencil coils and EPM. Thanks for checking it out i appritiate the criticism…

You’re in Langley?!?

Damn, I’d like to see this thing in person if you ever wanna show it off. :slight_smile:
