has any of you painted your DM fogs using this method? I was toying with the idea but still undecided
dm fogs?
sorry i meant US foglights
i think that it might look ugly on the main beams… just my opinion
would anyone be interested in doing this to a set and seeling them?
its better if u do it yourself cause then u can get it just the right tint of orange that u want
if i lived closer id come and help u but ur in portland
coop,
if you don’t mind me asking.
What yellow did you use on your front bumper lights?
the clear orange, mix the two? or something else?
thanks, wes
i use orange not yellow. spray can no mix. stained glass paint
thx
Wow, This is great, I am going to do this with mine before a local Meet,
I’ll have before an after pics too
Thanks, Later
found at art stores?
orange stained glass spray can paint?
where can you get 800 and 1500 grit sandpaper?? i went to home depot and they have like 320 max. Also, is this tamyca stuff sold all around the us? cuz i went to a craft store and they didn’t have it, or any clear acrylic paint. Would like a hobby store have clear acrylic paint? i have everything except those two things…
auto parts stores have 1000+ grit.
Tamiya isn’t needed. Get testors clear orange if you want acrylic. Since you live up north, try finding Krylon Stained Glass spray paint at walmart.
i looked at walmart and they had stuff with the krylon brand but no stained glass stuff. I’ll look at the other walmart we have. I got 2 right around me.
oh and would they have 800 and 1500 grit sandpaper at like autozone or pepboys?
yep
wow this thread is still kicking…i would advise someone to back up the images because I do NOT know the password to the account that’s hosting them.
anyway, at my walmart, the finest grit they have is 800. i would go to a auto paint store and buy 1000+ wet/dry sand paper…its much cheaper.
i got my sand paper from pep boys for 3 dollars, came with 400,800 and 1000 i think
whata pain i shoulda followed the tip, wasted whole bottle of that paint
someone wana just sell me there har, serious too.
spray can, i diddn’t see no spray can, thats the way to go.
