hey bro do you remember the paint number .
i’m trying to buy the paint but i’m not sure about what number is it …

thanks in advance bro .

i THINK it’s x-26, i’d have to double check, it should say Tamiya Clear Orange

just re-did mine with strait ‘clear orange’ from tamiya…brushed on 3-4 coats and then 3-4 coats of clear, haven’t done the rubbing compound yet…

if it ever clears up around here i’ll get some outside shots =)

here is how mine come out been awhile so im just going to repost a pic.

think i got the cans from Ace-hardware.com or something like that most arts an crafts stores near me didnt carry orange but they had all the other colors. then i just use a clear coat paint after

always lookin good coop. hope your ride is doin well, its come a long way

heres mine using Tamiya clear orange spray and duplicolor car, truck, and van clearcoat.
i did them with the brush paints first but when i sprayed on the clear it got all spiderwebbed, so i bought new clear lights and sprayed away.

So Im guessing that Sprays are better? Its gotta be a glass type paint right?

just got some outside pictures from today…I personally like the brush on types better than sprays, its easier to get a good even coat, even though i used the clear spray type, so to each their own.

you can tell they look a little lighter in direct sunlight (which i dont like…i really like the darker color, but too lazy to do two things red/ one thing yellow…)i used the straight orange tamiya clear brush on.

enjoy!

hey guyz when i used clear on my lights. it started turning into cancer. like all these bubles and yellow nasty shit started growing on there. is there a special clear for this?

you probly used a different type clear, like Tamiya color is acrylic brush on, or acrylic lacquer spray. i dont think you can use an enamel clear on these, it will react.

Rcoop2, how many coats did you put on? I used that paint too but mine weren’t getting any oranger than this…

persian- are you positive the paint was fully cured before you tried spraying it on? if it’s 100% dry i dont see that happening, i used kyrlon regular clear and it turned out great…hth.

i used enamel clear so i think thats y it reacted
