id love to go if my da is running by then. i have to rebuild the motor which will hopefully be done by then. its almost out, about another hour or two worth of work then tearing it down and rebuilding. count me in if its running 
I would be interested in going out there if gas stays below $2.50 a gallon till then. I need to finish my car, but if I work hard on it, and get all my parts I should be good to drive out to NC.

aside from a snow-out/ice-out, YES! Snow and or Ice are the only things keeping me from going. Even if everyone were to flake, I would still be going up with a few of my friends.

On a side note, if you have walkie-talkies, bring them. Cell phones do not work up there.
yes walkies are very good idea… once you get to the river phones dont work, at least mine wont. there should not be a reason for me to flake. i think it will be a lot of fun if everybody shows up and we roll thru the mountains 30 deep in DA’s… that would be some real shit

g2white, if you guys are still making the run to the gap, then what time r u guys leaving from raliegh to get on the highway? And how long wil it take you guys to get to ashville… I was looking at the link and 77N runs dead into 40W and me and other people from my area could meet you guys at that shopping area thats near that highway and get there by a certain time. So let me know what you think and i will run it by sloteg and the others and get there ideas to see if they want to go to.
I will probably go stay friday night with my family in High Point, then meet up with DAIntegra35 early saturday morning and head out. I’ll probably try to head out at like 8 or so. That should put us in Ashevile around 11-12ish. We could meet at like a gas station or something. I forget with exit it is, but I usually get off and hit this gas station on the way up. I think its a good place to meet up since its right off the highway. Sound good?

that sounds like a good place to meet. If we aren’t in the parking lot, check that small little lot on the other side of the road. I am probably going to try to be there around noon. So plan on being there at noon, unless I tell you otherwise. I’m probably gonna eat in their little restaruant.
ok so i just got onto dealsgap.com and was looking to make sure we were both talkin bout the same restaurant right there at US 129 and NC28 and we are. One teeny weeny problem is that it closes at the end of novemeber and does not open back up til february. we can still use the parking lot i guess but as far as eating and gas we might have to look somewhere else
