just replacing the parts with DA sized/style brakes is going to be funky. just fyi.

ok ura douche
great build so far keep it up man i know how it is wen u wana wrk on ur car and u got crap goin on ut def great ride n enron is famous on g2 lol
how am i a douche, when you’re the one posting in SOMEONE ELSE’S build thread about YOUR seats?
here let’s make me an official douche then, hey ryan i sold my seats for $290 out of my old db2, sold the welded hatch to leo for $1xx plus his old rear hatch, sold the rear trim panels for $xx to rich, sold the oglesport cpillar bar and spoon front bar to erwin, sold the koni’s for $330 to someone in SF, sold the GC’s to someone else, sold the camber kit to what’s his nuts in the east bay, sold misc interior pieces to alan, gave the trailing arms to mike, traded the rotors and pads to fat ass for a db1 lip spoiler, sold the samco hoses to john, and on and on.
see how that makes someone a douche by posting about your own parts in someone else’s build thread when it has no significance to help his build!
Not until I read this. I sent you a reply though. Hopefully it’ll work out for the 5th.
I’m really interested to see you do the CDM belt conversion. Thats something I’ve always wanted to do ever since I got my car. Do you weld or is someone else doing it for you? Do you have a welder?

J- you certainly were here:manual: thanks for answering all my emails:)
yuri- play nice:giggle:
Sounds like a plan.
Do you weld or is someone else doing that part of the seatbelt install?

no mike, no welding is needed. the frame is set up for either manual or auto belts.
auto are a pain in the butt. but ill be happy once my manual belts are in! i need to work on my car more but i havent had the motivation esp once i get home from work. I just want to be lazy. i think thats because i just turned 30
Thats wierd. Every other thread I’ve seen about installing the cdm belts mentions that welding is needed for the upper B pillar mounting position and for the lower inner (buckle) area. Post pictures of the work installing them please.
+1
well i sure feel sheepish… for some reason i thought i heard there was no welding involved, but after a quick search i find i was wrong.
hmmm, safety is always an issue so ill have to see if I can get them to work, if not ill have to scrap the manual seatbelt plan:(
classic example of what happens when research isnt fully done
Ah, don’t get so discouraged man. From what I remember you need to just get a nut welded onto the pillar. So it shouldn’t be that big of a task. I’ve got a set I need to install to, so I’ll definitely document the process once I get around to working on mine
It may be hard getting your hands on a welder, but the rest of the install should be fairly simple. I agree with mrpenny, don’t get discouraged. Or at least if you do, sell me those seatbelts…
