hello guys this is my DA lotsof workin being done

what about RSX tailights ??? they are similar and i think it wont have to cut and weld to much to make them fit .

opinons ???

i like the late model RSX tails as opposed to the first gen.
how about the TSX tails?

yeah the tail lights i’m thinking about getting are from a 2006 there aftermarket ,not chrome or anything ,ummm there like a dark grey with some sort or web or something on theround red lights .

yeah TSX lights are sexy I allso love the headlights too

so many nice lights , i think the TSX would be closer to fitting then the RSX

i think i’m going to call a pick and pull tomorow and price out a set

Please DO NOT put any type of round lights on the DA! Looks sooo out of place… reminds me of those ugly ass ebay round tail lights that are made for the DA… naaasty.

Dude you have a lot of time and money on your hands! Good luck with your project… looking good so far!

love the build man, you rock

sorry bud i’m picking these up tomorow .

i want black lights now .But don’t really like the ones they have for the Da’s so might as well RSX it  I’m pretty sure i can make them work .But if they look out of place i wont go ahead with it .
i’m driving 3 hours to get them too ,so 6 hours all together hehe

i don’t really have the time or the money .The green paint is left over from the crx and the black isnt $$$ i have about 500 into the car so far not includeing my time or hydro and after the door poppers ,fiberglss enclouser and RSX tailights i should be around i’m thinking 1000 ,not that bad really (shrugs)
thanks for the nice words .

Joes DA
haha thanks bud

so after i pick them up i will have some really updates to follow be it cutting and welding to fit them or just useing the Stock lights and finishing my flip up light .

well peace

mitch

well i don’t think these will work . it would be easy to make fit ,but it would look funny since the da lights are round on the ends and the rsx has an aggresive curve

over 6 hours of driving for nothing haha

maybe i can think something up (shrugs)

hah you can always sell them…I think the OEM tails are good

 i told you my man…get the S2000 lights, i’ve seen it on an EG hatch…so i assume if sits flush with the DA rear.

well its been done before  so this gives me hope . wish i had better pics though is this guy a member on here ??? or anyone have pics of this car ,closer would be better …

shifterkart1
haha well those would cost $$$ there isnt very many in my area and findign a used set would cost a bit

i’m excited now …i’m going to start working on them tomorow

do an s13 front end conversion

Sorry off topic… but did I see a sunvisor on the hatch of that car? Im unsure if I would put one on my car… but I was just wondering about where/what company, to get something like that, just in case one day I wanted to try it out!

http://deflectors4less.stores.yahoo.net/acsowiii.html now back to the build…

Thanks… sorry for the interuption

although im a stock fan all the way, those rsx tails dont look that bad.

id go with ur original plan, u obviously have the skill to make it work, and aside from that, u already got the tails.

Hey i dont no alot about paint colors and mixing but im curious about the green paint with the flake in it. Did you add that flake if so is it much harder to paint with then basic oem paint, ive heard that the larger flake is harder to paint with because it can clog up the gun. Sorry im curious and im looking for a color to paint my car:angel:

jdmb16b
haha ive allready got he frontend all painted so that isnt happening ,if it wasnt i most likely would haha

Ptothej
not a problem

crazy seaman
haha yeah i like them :ok: i like stock too ,but everyone should at least do what i’m doing once .Its fun

adamlpsj

the green is metallic green pearl from the 06 scion Xb rare color they only had it on a 1000 Xb’s .It had the flake in it allready .Ive sprayed paint with adding flake and really the flake wasnt an issue with clogging or anything like that .I’m sure if you over do it and don’t follow the instructions you might have issues ,but i still doubt it since it take alot to clog a gun ,just make sure you mix the paint very well and go to town .

so i started to cut up the teggy to get these lights to fit .i’m on my second try ,the first time iwould have had to do way to much work to the 1/4 panels and i think it would have looked like ass haha .So i tried again andi think it looks much better and it shouldn’t need to much 1/4 panel work .

That pic of the DA with the RSX lights has 1st gen RSX lights doesn’t it ? because they look alot more rounded then the ones i have .

anyways some pics of what ive done so far .

you can see how much ive changed it up now haha

and here is the area i was worried about .should be a piece of cake now that i kinda know what i’m doing haha

tomorow i hope to get this side all welded up and the inner peices all in place

thats what took the longest ,makeing the peices out of poster board then thranferring it to steel twice and cutting and cleaning up all the peices

so yeah thats it for now i’m tired lost track of time working on it ,i need some sleep and should have an update later on .

since the first gen rsx lights have already been done if it were me i would have grafted the newer rsx tailights but you alredy did it sooooo…

sick build by the way keep us updated

yeah i had my years mixed up haha whoops ,oh well .I think the newer RSX lights would be easier too . But they don’t have the half circles like these which i think looks better .

yea to each his own but i would have went with the newer ones for simplicity and its close to the shape of current da tails
