my eye is all messed up and i thought it was good to go ,but i guess not .I started to work on the teggy a bit and then it started to hurt again so i didn’t
get much done .
pretty much what you see is i cut the 1/4 panel and took the rounded area out a bit and made it straight to flow withthe light and same goes for the bottom .I allso started to fill int he area where i went crazy cutting .
I have a bit of shapeing to do to and cleaning ,then i will weld in the inner peices to give it some strength anf then after that make the inner mount for the light it self .Right now the light is being held in place with strips of sheet metal and big holes for ajusting .

yeah you have a point ,but with the way i’m going with this car it isnt really going to hurt the look i’m going for ,which is a yeah you know you wanna look twice or maybe 3 times type car haha .You know what i mean ? If i was going to a clean OEM car i’d keep the OEM lights . Ive allways liked RSX lights and i love black houseing lights . Maybe if i get tired of these ones i do whatever this dude did . which is sick i think .
i’m pretty sure he juse baked the light then painted the clear part black .Or maybe window tint i dunno but i like it …

ive now cut the hatch a bit to flow witht he light a bit more (thanks to a dude on another forum) It was bothering me and just didn’t think to just cut it and move it to the 1/4 panel corner .I’ll get pics to show what i mean haha
Those lights look great…on the RSX lol…the rounded shape goes with a rounded car…just as the OEM tails work on our boxy cars.
BUT I know you are going for something very different so you gotta do what you gotta do 
loving you commitment to push you self if only more people had your drive.
as for the lights in the rsx i did a set for a buddy of mine and we just painted the inside of the clear lens with tail light smoke product he got at autozone. i turned out about the same. he got the car with some ebay tail lights and did have the money to buy oems so we mod’d. :salute:

haha you serious … the RSX is a box ,how could you say its round ? The whole look of the RSx is agressive lines .and the car is a BOX
the DA is a box but with subtle lines . I dunno dude ,i think you should put the bacardi down haha

um ivedone some work but i didnt take pics , i allso started another project today ,cleaning up my work bench by adding doors and painting it and ummm flameing it haha
both need one more coat of black and the one on the left just looks bad so i have to clean up the lines haha i was getting

i still wasnt happy with the top of the 1/4 panel so i sucked it in even more .
i’m pretty pissed at myself fot not remembering that i had to leave the strip i weldin place where it was and not make it the same height as the 1/4 panel ,now there is a gap … :x oh well just have to add once again haha
so after i sucked the 1/4 in this happened

hey guys ,ive been reading alot about EK side skirts and well they look great and all but i want to go with a large front lip and well from what ive seen they are pretty rounded .So should i go with some rounded ones ?
or do some more wleding and make it look like the body is lower then it really is ?
like how do i word that …ummm make a set of skirts out of sheet metal ,but weld them onto the car and have them molded i guess you can call it .
i think after the RSx conversion i could make some skirts in a few days …
man i wish i had your fabrication skills, but if i did id never get to drive my car because i’d always be cutting it up lol.

thanks bud !!! yeah it kinda sucks man ,i’m allways doing something to my cars . my 98 malibu has been sitting forever since i did a bucket seat swap and made a 12 inch fiberglass inclouser to go bewtween the seats .shaved the side mouldings
